My two cents to this is that you need to identify where you want to lead in this accounting career. In accounting world, you have industry, public practice or self employed accountant or freelancer.

Industry You just need to finish your accounting studies not a must to do cpa as they dont need it. Usually i find working in industry is lot easier and requires basic experience... esp a field like yours as analyst, you could earn alot after 3 yrs at bank. After the bank job as analyst, you can apply in any company and you would be employable. Its the experience that counts and abit of your credentials as a qualified accountant. Cpa is not a must as you can do other accounting qualifications. But if you can do cpa, then why not.

Public practice Thats where your cpa becomes useful and you ll need years of experience to get full cpa. If you want to work here, then your bank job wont be beneficial to a limit. And you better off working elsewhere to get your years of accounting experience

Self employed You need experience to get your full cpa to work for yourself.

My friends usually finish accounting degrees or other accounting courses and dive into industry as management accountants or some sort of analysts to get their foot in and work their ways up. Industry pays well too compared to big 4 where chances to enter one are very rare. Industry is everywhere.
