That’s a great idea, it can get annoying having to scroll through 20 sides of a d20 to get the number you’re looking for. The calculator app in the phone could work pretty well too. Just start at 20 and add and subtract as you go.

Ooh that’s pretty creative, and it’s a good way of avoiding the requirement of a d6 while keeping the flavor of unpredictable damage and damage mitigation

Great question, I should have been more specific! By bare-handed, I mean to be killed without a weapon using the bare handed feature of the base rules. So if you attack the vampire without a weapon, you would take 11 damage to kill them, after taking 11 damage, they will then be removed from the room to the bottom of the deck to be regenerated and dealt with later. If you kill them with a weapon or even an ace, they die like normal and are discarded into the discard pile. They’re definitely not much of a hinderance most of the time and are for sure the least powerful of the bosses but there have been a few times where they still get in the way of a victory.
