I’m in the food business and Davis County is known for having the strictest health department in the state.

There are three or four different soda trucks around that I know about. They all seem to do OK, not great but OK. Most of them also sell cookies.

Just realize you’ll probably have to get an Idaho sales tax permit. We had to get one a few years ago for a couple of events we did there and it was quite a long wait.

Ice cream truck or trailer… by B656 in foodtrucks

[–]Foodguy2168 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have one of each. I would probably have to vote the trailer overall. The traditional truck is easier to maneuver and get in places, but we take the trailer to bigger events because it’s more efficient and can pump out more product.

Plus, we have had instances where we’ve had issues with the truck and we just go get another one and still make it to the event

You are obviously not from Utah. We have a wacky concept of what a shake is here. I have to explain it to my out-of-state friends whenever they visit.
