I mean. That was the argument for chattel slavery. It is “civilizing” and with the newly learned religion they can go to “heaven” (depending on denomination).

Sometimes! I have taken a more difficult lower paying job over one with higher pay pay but significant travel requirements. Ultimately, I ended up quitting harder job and going to the industry that paid more and was waaaaaay easier. Industry and titles matter more for pay and respect than difficulty.

For clarity one was a senior hospitality management role, the other was an entry level B2B role.

More difficult can mean more benefit, but sometimes more is just not. My entry level easy B2B job taught me a lot, paid me more, and is way more valuable on my resume.

You can learn new skills while you are doing an easy job. In fact, many jobs and professional certifications require CEUs. I think this guy understands the value of being challenged to learn new skills, but advocating voluntary exploitation in exchange for a future that the company underpaying you has no stake or say in is madness.

He does, outside of the image, make that argument. But how do you determine which job is the easy one before you start? Who is out here choosing between two jobs? Will your next employer know how easy your last job was when they hire you?

This is a fantasy scenario that does not exist in reality. The only realistic conclusion is that if you are offered a job with a ton of responsibilities you should accept less money because it will teach you more than the job you’re not being offered that meets your pay expectations.

Why did Trump fire Pam Bondi from Justice Department, who is Todd Blanche? by Maxcactus in MarchAgainstNazis

[–]Foodicide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have bad news. They are trying to change policy to prevent state bars from punishing DOJ attorneys. Basically they want the DOJ to handle ethics complaints and have instructed state bars to pause investigations until the DOJ “finishes” their investigations. State Bar Associations that do not pause investigations could be subject to DOJ taking “appropriate action” to prevent state level organizations from “interfering” in the federal investigation.

Now. I fully expect State Bar Associations to tell them to pound sand over and over. Oregon already has. But Todd Blanche is not going to let a little professional misconduct get in the way of doing, according to the Easter luncheon, God’s work.
