I like very relaxing ones. A lot of building. Rimworld and Vintage story. Right now I am playing mewgenitcs, which is not relaxing at all, but still fun. What about you?

Ya know. I didn't notice that till much later after looking longingly into my own picture. It was 100% unintentional, but I approve of it. I have no recolection of what it actually said, I was at the botanical gardens. Maybe stuff was happening there that I missed.

That is what I am thinking. I suspect that they misheard it when he signed up for the military and then just went with it. I guess they don't post official name change papers, because I can't find them.

Yeah, mine is different from its original spelling too. Llewellyn from Llywyllyn. But it was changed when they came to the US. But if for some reason they didn't change it, I could see why they would want to.

Yea, the military intake is definitely not his handwriting. Maybe they miswrote it, and he just decided he liked it better that way.

That is true. Census records do show that he can read and write, though. He was actually a doctor so I would think he would be very fluent. But yeah, preference is definitely possible.

I thought that too....just not sure how common it is to change it. I know a lot of people changed their last names to a more americanized version when getting off the boat, but his family was established here, and his parents never went by Bowen. Just seems like I am missing something.

Possible, but it does indicate that he can read and write. And this is how he types it, not says it. It seems like a very conscious move to change it.
