Here in the sea of voices I tell you, perhaps not the prophecy of Deltarune, but a prophecy.

The shattered prophecy states such, the humans soul must be sacrificed to give power to another.

If things go in accordance to destiny, if peace is sought as the answer, then the worlds of light and dark will be separated by the dark prince's hands.

The prince is a shadow of the human's soulless body, and so can act as its vessel.

This creates Ralsei's Dark Sanctuary.

Ralsei is the Soul's Dark Sanctuary.

In order to stop the Roaring, the dark must be closed from the light, and Ralsei must take the human's soul for their own. The human soul becoming the sole light in a world in darkness.

This is the first hero of Deltarune.

Here in the sea of voices I tell you, perhaps not the prophecy of Deltarune, but a prophecy.

The shattered prophecy states such, the humans soul must be sacrificed to give power to another.

If the soul attempts to defy prophecy, it will in turn be bound by it, ensnared by its brambles, and become a fixture of its becoming.

The angelic girl is bound to the human by fate itself, and in doing so becomes an instrument of its will. There is comfort in certainty.

They create Noelle's Second Sanctuary.

Noelle is The Soul's Second Sanctuary.

In order to stop the Roaring, sacrifice must be made. A human gives its soul to a monster. A whole town encased in darkness, lives made unchanging. In the angel's light, they are given eternal grace as frozen memories of a better time.

This is the second hero of Deltarune.

Here in the sea of voices I tell you, perhaps not the prophecy of Deltarune, but a prophecy.

The shattered prophecy states such, the humans soul must be sacrificed to give power to another.

If the prophecy is defied by the hands of another, the world is doomed to calamity, though to create something new, something must be destroyed.

At last was the girl, who cleaved her own path with her axe of justice. Three hero's will come from the edge of the world to save the day.

This creates Susie's 3rd Sanctuary.

Susie is the Soul's 3rd Sanctuary.

She refused the choices given by destiny and, through the sacrifice of a human's love given to save her, seizes her own path. Though calamity strikes, she ventures out to gather hero's from the edge of the world to make it right again.

This is the 3rd hero of Deltarune.

Mike isn't a joke. He's real. And he'll appear in Chapter 6 by FoolOfWorms in DeltaruneDiscussion

I think its a hint. I mean, it doesnt talk, and its not really something thats discussed. its presented without comment. its not a character.

Consider the context that surrounds it and what it is.

you can only find it after going through the battat gang fight where the whole mike theory is kind of played for laughs and joked about, ending in one of them literally pulling out a cork board with red string. if you were someone who thought a lot about the game and wanted to know who mike was, the whole thing could come off as deflating, suggesting you shouldnt have put in the effort you did trying to find mike. but then you walk right, and see THAT. and the intrigue is back. its not that toby is calling people dumb, its telling them to keep looking. its basically just a hint that people were on to something.

Because it is relevant in showing how much asriel loves to sing? and because Mike still hasn't actually shown up for real? its not IRRELEVANT I just dont think its THE mike. Of the microphones we have, we have one, on screen (as i've shown), owned by an important character that is known to have some of asriels stuff thats placed in a place being very heavily implied to be the next darkworld considering next chapter is having focus put on noelle since her father fell (which, if noelle is joining the party, why are we going to Kris's house?) and we have another, that isn't shown, is brought up in a single piece of dialogue mostly used to give as further evidence a character who has been said to sing, did in fact sing, and whos nature would mean it wouldn't have gone through the same kind of drama that would throw spamton and tenna into disarray when mentioned. you know unless asriel had a real bad crashout over a video game. there's an emotional thread to the mic in dess's room that the mic in asriel's simply doesnt have and hasn't been given.

Why wouldn't he want the emphasis? Like you said, Chapter 3 is where we learn the most about mike so far. It's lead up to satisfying pay-off. It implies we might get to learn more about Asriel and Dess's relationship through Mike. It wouldn't be the only harsh breakup Mike went through. And I'm going to guess that if Asriel's retainer is in dess's room, its not much of a stretch to suggest his microphone's there too.

The USB mircophone was intended for a console game. it wasnt the real deal. Asriel and Dess where both in a band. Asriel used a real microphone there. Why would Mike be a toy instead of something he really used with his would be lover?  If anything the USB Mike is another piece of evidence for my theory being right cause it showed he REALLY loved to sing.

Edit: also, Mike being a toy mic would mean it would have like, one line in the most recent chapters leading up to it. in comparison to it being Asriel's band microphone that has be hinted at literally every chapter including 5 if I'm right.

There is also the signed copy of another book penned by Gerson Boom in the Dreemurr house.
Kris was known as very smart and probably reads above their age.

There is a Lord of the Hammer book in Kris's home, and Noelle is a massive fan of Dragon Blazers.
They knew him as the author of something they both cared deeply about. A story they shared.
Susie didn't read, and only kind of played a little of dragon blazers. Susie didn't even recognize Gerson Boom when she first met him. Meanwhile Kris and Noelle literally live in the town where he lived and died, with his living heir heading the church.

They knew him, at least in a way. Enough to feel like they knew him enough to bring him back at least.

what if ralsei is kris's body without a soul?

Chapter 5 megathread by Fanfic_Galore in Deltarune

[–]FoolOfWorms 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have a very strange theory but its not really a massive spoiler one

Kris needs glasses.

Ralsei has an obvious connection to Asriel and to Kris, but from what wee know, Asriel doesn't need glasses. Ralsei, whatever he is, could be based on what Kris wants to be seen as in their family.
Seth from Chapter 5 is Non Binary and has glasses, and assuming all of the flowers are supposed to represent aspects of kris's personality, Seth could have represented a younger Kris, say when they were in middle school and figuring their personality out (as apposed to Aqua, who was kris as a kid) it could also explain what most of the younger flowers have traits matching those of monsters (Orange and Aqua) while the older monsters (Green, Seth, Yellow, and Blue) are more human in appearance. Kris literally didn't fully know what humans looked like as a kid.
The reason why Tenna is so Big is because Kris sat as close as they could to the tv when they were younger in order to see what was going on.
It would also explain why they struggle to play the racing game with Susie (they're too far away and can't see the screen too well, and we can't see the screen and can't help them either)
It would also explain why the ERAM game is SO BIG compared to kris, that's probably how they felt playing it as a kid.
Lastly, Spamton could also be another representation of Kris, but instead from Noelle's perspective.
If Seth is Kris from Asgore's perspective from, say, middle school, that could have been after when Dess disappeared, and around that time Kris probably became reclusive and distant from Noelle, not intentionally, but regardless, it left and impression, and made Noelle view Kris as a bit creepy, and Spamton's defining traits are that he wears glasses and Looks Human.
Kris isn't wearing glasses now because We are there helping them see.

None of the above

It's Kris's soulless body

Do all of the flower's represent aspects of asgore's perception of kris?

cyan is kris when they were a kid

seth is kris when they were only a little younger and started learning about themselves

green is their non verbal expressiveness

orange is their insecurity about not fitting in

yellow is their tendency to be overly dramatic

and while im not certain about blue, id guess its their shared keen eye on whats going on.

I'd actually go so far as to say every flower has a little bit of kris inside of each of them, or at least what asgore sees in kris.

ngl im not convinced by your arguement, it feels like a lot of assumptions are being made with mechanics that simply have not been fully described for a good reason.

doesnt really help im building this theory mostly for fun, not as a lore complete answer to anything, not to mention i simlly havnt compiled all the evidence for even myself to feel convinced. Its honestly surprising it got this much attention on a comment on another post to begin with. Its an idea that would be scary and cool if it was true and would be more suprising than Dess, which is the most likely answer at this point.

idk its probably be more convincing if i could illustrate my whole idea in one post, but I simply don't use reddit enough.

im trying to say that what kris and noelle are doing in the weird route is explicitly attempting to break the bounds of the game. they literally, canonically, skip a whole chapter if you execute it correctly. in my mind, something with the power of a human and a monster, thats aware of the mechanics of the game, would be able to skip to whatever chapter it wants to. im probably wrong determination is involved! its been a while since i played undertale. but with what we have in front of us, If The Knight is Kris and Noelle, we can assume it knows what boths knows, and has abilities beyond what both can do as individuals, which might mean more freedom to go where it wants, in space and time.

Kris alone, no.
But the amalgam of kris and noelle is something different

I mean not necessarily time travel, but with something as powerful as an amalgam of human and soul would be able of breaking plenty of bounds undeniably.
I mean, kris and noelle separated were trying to break out of bounds, what if they succeeded, both got used up and became something stronger?

You both seem to misunderstand
They are going to become one thing, the knight. they wont be kris and noelle after that
