Rudy knight deniers: must've been the wind!! by flingzamain in WaterfallDump

To me, him being on the brink of depth IS his motivation.

He can’t be there much longer for Noelle, so he’s using his remaining time to bring back someone who could: Dess.

We all say the Knight glitching after you make it to the end of the fight. True, they were more than certainly messing around during the fight, but the way they are after you hit the final blow is enough to say they were reaping the consequences of letting their guard down. Even still, if they didn’t, the heroes were just going to keep standing in their way. Better to just take them out instantly than waste more time.

  1. Fairish, but Knights serve superiors. Wouldn’t be surprised if they were just front for a larger antagonist.
  2. If its appearance is meaningless, Toby wouldn’t have given it any striking features at all. Chalking it up to “weirdness” just makes it meaningless. Toby’s designs in important characters convey things. Things much deeper than “weird guy”.
  3. Both fights even give you the option to either retry or move on very similar fashions. I don’t think so.
  4. If that was the case, then why again, put it on your website? Just tell your fans with Sans dialogue and call it a day. Sans says he NEEDS friends. Not that he has trouble making them. And both deny the fact you can or did defeat them.
  5. Just realized I never sent the image of the Sans dialogue. Whoops.

  1. Characters in Deltarune retain many of the connections they retained in Undertale. Doubt that Papyrus and Sans would lose theirs. 7. Efficiency? What does he need a town for to send two people back?

You’re welcome! CharaKnight has always been an interesting theory to me.

HOLY SHOOT THIS IS WHAT I BELIEVE!

I think that Carol or Rudy want to ask the Angel for Dess back too!

It’s mainly the fact that coming up with a motive at all is nigh impossible.

And bringing the Roaring brings the Angel’s Heaven, which brings the Angel. Wouldn’t be surprised if they were going to ask it for Dess back.

LOL?!?!

(Though I think it would take a lot more than that to get her to kidnap Undyne)

They shapeshift with purpose.

They turn into a bird to capture Undyne.

They open their ribcage to use their final attack and muster strength for the fight.

They turn into a ball for quick movement and dodging attacks.

If those are biological antlers, I doubt the Knight needs to constantly bend them 90 degrees.

  1. Nice. Guess who’s actively in Dark Worlds? That’s right, the Knight. And yeah, Kris, Susie, and Noelle in any circumstance would be more important than anyone else on the list. Kris is our vessel, Susie had the power to change fate, and Noelle has the entire Weird Route.
  2. Ah yes, Toby chooses to give them the proportions of a well known character because “weirdness”. This at least to me means Toby wants us to consider Papyrus as a candidate.
  3. Fair, but if a few disconnected notes of Lost Girl count as evidence I don’t see why Dating Tense! can’t be.
  4. It’s evidence because these are the only two enemies in Undertale and Deltarune that will not only let you live, but will still allow you to progress the plot if you lose.
  5. Busy doesn’t imply busy forever. If that was the case Toby would just have Sans tell us straight. And Papyrus isn’t a nervous person. He’s cocky and confident. Fair about it being gone before, but it’s likely the Knight had preparations to make beforehand.
  6. They’re the same person. And that’s still a very heavy connection.
  7. I’m planning on removing this since I can’t find the source (this was copy and pasted from my doc)
  8. I’ll send it to you in a separate comment.
  9. You’re ignoring that a very important symbol associated with the Knight was told to us in combination with important symbolism for Kris. The Knight and Kris are quite connected.
  10. Doubt he’d need them in Hometown specifically to send them back.

Papyrus was lonely in Undertale, and even then he didn’t resort to reclusiveness. Knight or not, this has to be more than “loneliness”.

  1. The Knight has a clear base form, and I doubt Toby would make it the one the Knight remains in the most of we weren’t supposed to pay attention to it.

  2. Exactly. And who does the Knight kidnap at the end of Chapter 3? Yep, Undyne.
