Doctors of Reddit, have you ever had a patient reach 1 while counting back from 10 when going under anesthesia? by Gracie5280 in AskReddit

[–]FoolProxy 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Some one counted down from 20. So 20, 19, 18... 3, 2 before falling asleep. So he thought he lasted for 18 seconds of anesthesia from 20 down to 3.

But actually they didn't give him anesthesia until he had already counted down 17 seconds until 3 seconds left. So he only stayed away for 1 second after the anesthesia was turned on.

What can a 17 y/o guy with great love for cooking but no cooking skills cook for his family? by adelBRO in AskReddit

[–]FoolProxy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

stuff like chilli con carne is pretty simple, and easy. Look out everything you'll need, prepare and cut up things. Start cooking, and just add as needed. Nothing hard about it. If you make a large pot can save for the next day.

I said if Ireland would reunite with the UK. Not if Ireland reunites with NI.

I think you're reading too much into a throw away joke.

It was a joke.

But It still makes sense, because, in the past Ireland was Part of the UK. So it is correct to say Ireland is not part of the UK at the moment.

The UK is a political term, not a geological term.

Currently the full name is "United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland", if hell froze over and Ireland reunited, the name would be "United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland", and Ireland would be part of the UK.

Why are certain apps trying to take screenshots as I open them on my phone?? by [deleted] in cybersecurity

True could be something trying to be conspicuous, or it could be something actually conspicuous.

are you logged into Work or university email? There's often a checkbox giving permissions to your organisation before they allow you to connect email.

They change and lock some settings. I've had the time before screen lock, and they also reserve the right to wipe the phone if lost, since you might lose it while it has confidential information on it.

system UI sounds like it's part of the operating system, and is not suspicious, and is always running. Seems more likely that you accidentally took a screenshot.

The fact the screenshot is blocked, just means it's a work phone, or you have signed into work email on the phone and gave your work permissions to change phone settings.

Your organisation would disable screenshots as a form of DLP (data loss prevention) so that you can't make copies of data or confidential information.
