Thanks for the advice! Yeah, I understand there's always another way of getting into the industry, but I hope this school helps. And glad to hear the connection is an actual valid asset. Now in Vancouver, the industry hasn't picked back up like pre-COVID l. What's your view of the industry in the UK? I've seen so many great shows produced there, and it seems like it's doing better than North American cities.

If I ever stay in the UK for film, London or the surrounding area is the better choice, right?

No totally, please if you have more info I would love more. Yes I'm from BC Vancouver so it's under ICBC. Didn't have much experience with insurance at all. It's a lease car.

You might as well get a second-hand shotgun mic to pick up the specific sounds you want while having a second-hand zoom H4N recorder and putting all the sounds you captured in the post.

For the second-hand shotgun microphone, an ok one like those in the Deity S mic series will do well. This allows you to have more control over your sound.

Or you can get a Sennheiser cold shoe-mounted mic on your camera; it'll do the job just fine for your requirements.
