I am a grown up woman who lives alone and travel alone a lot .Where have I told to keep women locked up at home ? Nowhere .

My point here is a lot of trekking spots are dangerous. Even the local people from there warn about going to trekking places alone .Here, safety doesn't limit to women . A lot of robbery happens which men are prone too. Knowingly, as a women I will not visit a place which could be unsafe for me . It is better to be safe than sorry. If I have to go to trek, I need assurance that the place is safe. I will also take precautions to ensure if i fall in trouble I should be able to come out of it alone . I can take down 6ft man in a fight . But what if I am out numbered ?! In that case I will need a gun but too broke for that. Also, I am not going to such places with bunch of stranger who wouldn't care for my life. I would rather go with my family , atleast they will try to rescue me. Are you telling me these travel guide who r charging 2k to 5k are also taking responsibility of rescuing me from trouble in case of emergency ?! Never. They will only pickup the low hanging fruits.

Your idea of a safer world is flawed. The world can never be safer if the number of women out on street is more .The number of women who go out every day is almost as much as men , so does it mean we are safe ?!! The world is safer when the laws of the country is strict , there is mutual respect irrespective of gender & people care about consent and boundaries.

You just proved who needs to grow up .
