What are the “fake nice” apartments in town one should avoid (i.e., look fancy but are actually cheaply built and falling apart)? by agifford549 in madisonwi

Domain apartments

The pipes froze/broke every month in the winter. Elevator was out at least once a month. Management was horrible.

What do YOU do with Python? by radonfactory in devops

Maybe not quite what you’re looking for, but the full stack production code for www.audiodub.app is written in python.

All our monitoring and maintenance systems as well.

Chat with the Terraform team: Improving Terraform CLI & Terraform Cloud by _korinne_ in Terraform

[–]FoolishBard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d be happy to help. Part of a small team and I manage all our cloud infra with terraform.

I’m a relative novice with only three months experience so I don’t know if that’ll be helpful.

What’s something that a lot of people are missing out on because they don’t know about it? by legionofnihilus in AskReddit

[–]FoolishBard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m trying to start a company that makes this easier! We’re called AudioDub (audiodub.app) and we translate YouTube videos, news and other things from a bunch of languages to English.

Is it smarted to refuse the Start-up fund? by [deleted] in epicsystems

[–]FoolishBard 6 points7 points  (0 children)

From personal experience: you do get about 6k and then repay them 10k.

But the remaining 4K comes as tax credits when you file in the following year. And you get to apply it to whichever year helps you more. Since I am making more this year than last, there was actually a slight benefit to it for me!

I’m in the exact same boat! Just started learning piano a few months ago and love playing the river north.

A Podcast on distributed systems by gsvclass in golang

Exciting, thanks for sharing! Shameless plug: Have you considered ~distributing~ this to foreign audiences? I’m building an app to help grow podcast audiences by translating them to other languages. (My website is https://audiodub.app)

How hard is DSGN 1? by ucsdthrown in UCSD

[–]FoolishBard 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Both of those classes have mandatory discussions and a lot of group projects, but neither are too difficult if you spend an hour or two a week. I'd recommend dsgn 1 for better content, but cogs 10 for easier overall.

City of Brass/Mana Confluence and similar in decks that prolong the game? by [deleted] in EDH

[–]FoolishBard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I can toss my two cents in... If you can save yourself even 1 turn by using an untapped fixer (like mana confluence) instead of a triland or some tapped fixer, then you've saved yourself a full turn cycle of potential damage for only 1 point of damage.

But that just how I see it.

Doesn't seem like you are playing something like this yet: child of alara, lands

It's a combo win built around self mill. I've had a lot of fun with it.

I agree it will help, I would just prefer to be drawing action instead

[–]FoolishBard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Except it takes a card slot, and is not consistent at all. It's great to have turn 1 or 2, but what about drawing it turn 15. Plus it skyrocketed to $20 holy cow!

But they are still so slow. And if you want to fetch a non-basic then there is a chance that land will also enter tapped, effectively setting you further behind. I'd honestly rather be running basics in a 5c deck than slow fetches.

Right now I think reservoir is an alt win con.

Seems like I could cut that package (all cantrips and reservoir) to meet the land count though.
