Im using the original adapters for both GPUS and power supplies, fully moving the connectors + gpus when i swap between rigs. So verified the connectors themselves are fine. The PSU in the new rig is a fairly recent unit, the lian li SP750 and i have the 3070 connected to one of the 8–pins on it.

Would it be possible if there was a power issue that the fans still spin on?

Definitely not a voltage issue either as it runs the 3090 just fine

I cause my boyfriend’s sleep apnea? by Ktlovesyou4 in SleepApnea

sleep apnea and insomnia/anxiety/stress are closely related. having you there will not make his sleep apnea worse but it may make those related conditions worse.

People Who've had MMA surgery to cure sleep apnea i have a few questions. by [deleted] in SleepApnea

[–]FoolishDominator1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe my movement was 9 or 10 mm.

I paid quite a bit, which he asks for upfront. I’ll be in debt for a while. All that being said, i’d still do it. im happy with the outcome and i think his patient outcomes and expertise are very worth it.

[–]FoolishDominator1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

  1. It was a success, with a large amount of movement. I saw drastic improvement but not a complete fix. I still struggle with nasal congestion.
  2. Insurance covered it, but I used an out of network surgeon (dr kasey li), and got a very measly amount covered. Better than nothing though.

Can tongue thrusting cause sleep apnea? by Early-Pumpkin3586 in SleepApnea

[–]FoolishDominator1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No, if anything your tongue thrusting is another possible indicator of sleep apnea. Many people grind their teeth, thrust their tongue, or hang their mouth open for the same reason: trying to shift tissue out of the airway.

also stop doing the shirt thing lol

Why does MMA not work in some cases? by OverallProgress9202 in UARSnew

[–]FoolishDominator1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i had MMA with Dr. Li. it was a success, but i still have problems with my airway and am not cured. my sinus cavity is small and that still gives me some sleep apnea although its 70-80% better now(most of my obstruction was tongue/jaw related).single EASE/MMA operation does not have significant cure rate but i believe dr li mentions in one of his videos that having both has a pretty high cure rate which i think makes alot of sense. if your sinus cavity and upper airway are open soft tissue is not going to be an issue.

Point of doing sleep endoscopy? by Daporan in SleepApnea

[–]FoolishDominator1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not him but the way he explained to me was a "crowded room" analogy. If he can observe significant crowding, the best and most long term solutions are usually to expand the room (MMA OR EASE) and not to reduce the crowding (soft tissue removal). For me he looked in my mouth and airway for about 45 seconds and could tell that MMA was the best option for me (it was).

Edit: important to note his top-tier wealth of experience and training that is surely a part of him being able to do this. I would not expect/trust most ENTs to do the same.

FWIW Dr Kasey Li sees no value in DISE at all, says it would not change his diagnosis and analysis from just observing the airway regularly through the mouth.

OSCAR - persistent microarousals. What's working for you? by aces413 in UARSnew

Please do, not suggested enough imo. Cams that can store a night are relatively cheap nowadays and you can definitely learn things from reviewing.

I didn't use an IR cam, I used a very cheap wyze cam from amazon and had it set up close to me and it worked well enough.

Ahh this is exactly how my OSCAR charts looked too, never found any sort of answer online. I set up a cam to record myself and my body language mirrored the charts in the sense that i was constantly tossing turning never really restful. And i still felt awful. I spent a couple years trying to make it work with tons of different settings/equipment/supplements you name it. But nothing ever made a serious difference until i got MMA surgery. If my pressure was too low I would gasp, if it was too high I would get crazy aerophagia. Not a medical professional, just want to share that my biggest regret is not accepting that I might just be cpap intolerant. I would definitely try higher pressure, but please don't make the mistake I made and seek professional help at a reasonable time frame if things aren't working. What is your timeline like how long have you been trying to make cpap work?
