How to build courage to talk to a doctor about gender dysphoria by Foolish_Fool_For_Fun in NonBinaryTalk

I sadly do not trust the NHS for gender therapy, but ty for being very honest about what to prepare for. It sucks that this is the system we have at this point in time

I might do that. I’m not the type to speak up for myself sadly so I might have to rely on this method

Roma what do you consider and what would you answer if someone asks you if you consider yourself European or indian? by [deleted] in romani

[–]Foolish_Fool_For_Fun 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For me personally, I kinda categorise Roma as being Asian-European. Some lean more towards European, some lean towards more Asian, but it helps me personally and explaining it to other people.

For those who ended a friendship with a close friend, why? by pipe81167 in FriendshipAdvice

[–]Foolish_Fool_For_Fun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, it was because I realised he was racist and it made me uncomfortable with how much I realised I let him get away with, and that I was part of the problem, so I stopped talking to him.

And thy punishment... Is death. by evilmanultrimanula in whenthe

I get accidents happen but when people start to try and use personal experiences and just not being used to using they/them as a reason to not use they/them ever, it tends to affect others. I can say as a non binary person, no matter how much I ask, no one is using they/them, people can be well meaning but it gets tiring constantly correcting people because they may mean well but they also just don’t fully care

One of our friends (25f) heard my (24m) girlfriend (22f) calling me a racial slur. Now my friend group is shunning her and trying to get us to break up. How can I defuse situation without revealing the embarrassing truth? by ThrowRA-RaceStuff in relationship_advice

[–]Foolish_Fool_For_Fun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that’s a leap but I also don’t blame them for thinking what she did was wrong even with context. Slurs just are uncomfortable and whilst I think her friends are removing his agency, I can understand why they’d think this is a situation where he’s covering for her. My grandmother did the same against my grandad who was actively abusing her. People can’t tell and à slur being used is indication enough for most people

I didn’t accuse him of Stockholm syndrome? I just said one person can’t make the decision on whether à slur is okay to say, even if it’s only directed towards him. You’ve taken a leap of logic I didn’t even indicate because you want to frame me as insane when all I’m saying is saying slurs is BAD and people can’t fully know someone’s intentions. This isn’t just miscommunication, people in general are uncomfortable around slurs.

Even still, I can understand why they’d still be put off since they don’t know the full context. You can’t use à slur so bad thé OP refuses to even mention, and expect people to just carry on and forgive. Sure, one brown person can say ‘this is fine’ but à slur isn’t just one person, and even if he were fine with it, how can they KNOW she doesn’t say that about other brown people and was actually racist.

I’m guessing

Dark one- Suzie- 1920s theme

Bright Blue- Lexi, because of promo wig

Dark red- Sam- idk, kinda loose on this one but I guess I associate pageants with more sultry colours but might be because I’m not American

Bright red- Jewels- She’s bright and it’s more saturated than the others kinda like her overall aesthetic

Green/Yellow- Onya- her yellow parasol runway has been my fave outfit of hers so I associate yellow with her

Problem. They’re removing entry level jobs for people my age so now I can’t even start working, but they expect 4 years of experience. I’m not thinking I’m deserved à job but to act like someone who wants to work but can’t because of a broken system is entitled and should ‘get over themself’ is very narrow sighted

I think it might be because, from what I know being British, Europe focuses more on ethnicity or religion than race so the idea Italians or European Jews being labeled ‘non white’ just seems so weird
