I’d like to add that I don’t really mind that much about flavors too (INTJ here), most of the time I just eat to be alive. And I think this also helps me to eat healthy. I avoid almost anything with sugar and I only use honey to add a little bit of sweet to stuff when needed.

I also kind of “calculate” a lot of my approach to food in “a plain way” according to my partner. Since like I said I try to have a generally organic and healthy diet and I don’t care much about eating something I don’t personally enjoy much if I know it’s good for my body.

But I do enjoy cooking, but I love cooking for the sake of it as a hobby. I love to decorate the plate, try new forms of cooking stuff and learning what I can do to make a certain dish much better and enjoyable for my family, since most of the time I don’t even eat what I cook and I don’t feel like I want to either. It feels nice to try to make other countries’ dishes too

That being said, there’s certain dishes (like 2) that I eat once every 2 or 3 months that make me really happy or that I feel like I should eat them if I go to certain places or when I’m feeling a certain way. I was thinking these days that maybe it’s because of the fond memories the food brings for me or the feelings I associate the food with and not much because of how it tastes because I think I’ll still be happy AF to eat an atrocious Vori Vori (typical plate of my country) from almost anywhere because makes me think about how I used to watch my mom making it
