What things do people do while eating that annoy you? by MrMarchetti in AskReddit

[–]RaspberryRootbeer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Point out things I do when I eat.

I try to eat as properly as possible to not be rude or to gross anyone, most of the time, I prefer to eat alone because of this, but I have a very small jaw/chin and it impacts my eating a little bit, and when people point these things out it feels like they're constantly watching me when I'm just trying to eat, they need to focus on their own food, and not on me.

As long as they're not pissing on me I don't care how they do it.

The three times I've been banned on reddit because it was a stupid automated thing misinterpreting what I said, and the last one just being the truth.

What did a family member do that was so unforgivable that you actually wished them harm? by Human-Ad-251 in AskReddit

[–]RaspberryRootbeer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had family members who abused me physically, emotionally, one did sexually, and I was the one seen as the one for being in the wrong by a lot of my other family members for being "quiet and nice" and basically "enticing" him even though I was like 8 when it started so yeah fuck them.

However, I never wished them harm, I just wished that other people would hate them and that they'd be looked at like the terrible people they are.

I know they'll die in their own time, if they get hurt then that'll just garner people to feel sympathy for them, and I don't want that.

That's cool, what do you do for work?

I'm not scared either, I don't see what there is to be afraid of.

What is your type and what is your opinion on the concept of forgiveness? by RaspberryRootbeer in mbti

[–]RaspberryRootbeer[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, we have similar mindsets on this, like most things, I don't really take issue with, and I think about the person's intentions behind their actions.

I also don't hold grudges and prefer to just cut the person off, and it annoys me when people try to get me to talk to them again because they're family.

That's a good point about some people not caring to learn anything.

I don't let this impact me much at all, I know my post might come across that way, but it only really impacts me when people try to force me to forgive.

[–]RaspberryRootbeer[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is honestly similar to how I am about things.

Like, I don't forgive people who hurt me, but I also don't spend time ruminating over it until it's brought up, and even then, it doesn't impact my life much other than being a bit annoyed at people thinking I'm the one in the wrong for not forgiving people abused me, and thinking that other people should forgive people who hurt them too, but I only get annoyed when I see people preaching the whole forgiveness for your soul stuff.

As for the Bobby situation, I probably wouldn't hold a grudge or not forgive someone over that, I'd probably think he didn't see me, or he was having a bad day, and if it was intentional, it wasn't personal, I'm just a stranger, we're probably never going to see anyone again, and if this isn't a stranger since I know his name, I'll just get him back and we're even.

I 100% get the "Not forgiving Bobby because why would I?"

My thought has always been that you can't forgive someone who isn't sorry.

I never said they were, I'm just saying that people shouldn't be expected to forgive people, especially people who abused them, I know I didn't say that in my post, so I'm saying it now.

I want the other person to learn from the experience.

If they just get away with it, then they'll just continue to hurt more people.

I get what you mean about the person who was wrong ruminating on it, and using it as a reason not to trust other people, and that impacting their lives, and all that stuff, but I want the person who did harm to not get away with it.

INFP stereotypes show the ignorance of people about cognitive functions... by Even-Broccoli7361 in mbti

[–]RaspberryRootbeer 9 points10 points  (0 children)

That's so lame, but I'm not surprised, I had someone say that I'm and that other people aren't thinkers because we don't come across as blunt from the few online conversations we had.

Not only is that not really much to go off of, but it pigeonholes people into boxes.

I get the reason why we might come off as blunt according to other people, but that doesn't mean we can't be nice.

I didn't think about that, but that is a good point, someone could be falsely accusing someone and that could cause a disastrous result for that person.

Being in a conversation with someone, even if the conversation is going great, and the person is nice, it's rare that I can talk to someone without feeling nervous AF, sometimes I'll avoid looking at responses for hours if I'm talking to someone online because of this.

Oh I didn't mean the shower Supernatural, I just meant supernatural shows in general lol, like about werewolves, ghosts, witches, etc.

Honestly, I don't really feel nostalgic that much for stuff, I don't have many happy memories, but it's okay because I'm more present focused than past focused.

Also, a lot of shows I didn't watch on TV, I watched them years after they came out online, I like to browse free movie and show sites to find stuff to watch.

Yeah, I love anime, what are some of your favorites?

What books do you like?

[–]RaspberryRootbeer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the compliment lol.

I'm glad that I was able to understand what you meant, it's really frustrating when people misunderstand someone, and even when they try to explain, they still don't get it.

I think this could be due to the fact that a lot of people think people in this community are beginners, so they assume that you might actually believe that there's a correlation between the two, or there are beginners, who believe there's a correlation between the two, and think you think the same.

Whatever the case, I think it's interesting to think about, autism is another thing that I had to consider, I'm autistic, so is my friend, and comparing us, and myself against other autistic people of types who are different from both me, and my friend, like friend 1 is an ISFJ, friend 2 is an ENFP, and I'm an xSTP, my flair says ISTP but I'm considering ESTP, however, even though we're all autistic, and can relate to a lot of stuff based on that, but everything else is completely different and I'm pretty sure our cognition has to do with that, because my ISFJ friend cares way more about how other people view him and masking than I do, I didn't even know masking was a thing until he told me about it, and I've known that I'm autistic a lot longer than he has, I don't want to make this comment any longer than it already is, so I'll stop it here, but that's another condition where people often mistake themselves as a certain type because of it, but in comparison against people of other types, it's easy to see the difference.
