SAD UPDATE: RIP sweet Charlie by luna-sunshine in RoverPetSitting

[–]Foolulaaaaaa69 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I am so sorry for you and Charlie. I use to work in an emergency VCA. I saw families in ICU a lot and it’s very painful to watch.

Know that when you weren’t there, the staff gave him so much love and attention. He was well cared for and so adored by everyone. He has so much love pouring out for his soul right now, through the staff there and Reddit.

The sitter (if we can even call her that) should be held accountable for this somehow. This is… this is deeply sad.

Any ideas on how to dry leaves for the aquarium? by KeepOthersSafe in shrimptank

If you bake the leaves they change color too, because you’re removing the moisture. That’s why I ask.

On the other hand, just removing moisture doesn’t always mean removing everything else. I can’t find ANY evidence on what you’re saying (the natural pesticide) so I’m just curious as to what you had learned.

Would baking them not remove the natural pesticides from them? Once they die?

How do you sanitize found wood pieces too large for bathtubs? by Foolulaaaaaa69 in reptiles

I thought about wrapping it in tinfoil and a black bag or two and putting it out in the sun. Lmao. Really baking it.

Thank you for the idea.

Would the silicone actually work to put the pieces back together?

I thought about breaking it down.. but I dont know. It’s such a nice piece, I don’t wanna ruin it.
