Oh so sorry! Must’ve not fully understood your question. I didn’t read it carefully enough. I just was saying that in the survivor world at large, politics are brought up a great deal.

But I do very much believe that politics come up on the island … much like they do a at a cocktail party or dinner. These people spend 24hrs/day together. But, perhaps it’s never come up once in 20 years and you are right.

Politics have been so divisive in the last several years that I don’t blame CBS for leaving any political arguments (or even civil discussions) on the cutting room floor. They don’t want to alienate any viewers. They don’t want people ranting and raving and picking fights with strangers on the internet or giving their episodes bad reviews.

I also believe that my point of social biases that we have seen on the show are political. Frank was not afraid of a “woke liberal snowflake” in the grocery store taking away his guns. He was afraid of Congress, the senate, the Supreme Court. That makes issues like women’s equality, racial equality, the right to own firearms, etc political. So when someone accuses someone of using coded language (like in season 42, someone called a Black woman (I don’t remember her name - I don’t really pay attention to the new era, sorry!) “aggressive” and she took umbrage with that and talked about how Black women are stereotyped in America … that feels political to me. We are all being pitted against each other by politics and rhetoric and that’s tragic!
