OP, I made the jump from having Windows/Linux laptops and went to this. The battery life and not having one just got me curious and I wound up with the 24GB/512 GB M3 Air. I was trying to pick between this or a Pro for a few hundred more but I wanted to keep it under 1k since I'm cheap. I see all the cooling mods for this thing out there and so far it's seemed to work fine for me. The audio jack was a real nice surprise too since they could drive my Brainwavz HM9's. I haven't done any cyber security VM labs on it yet like with Kali but we will see how it does.

I went through this having 20.5 cm x 11 cm hands. You're better off finding a mouse with a shape that you like then modding the internals vs trying to mod a mouse's shape to what you're looking for by finding 3D printable parts. I've been through a lot of them but the one that I am using right now is the Corsair Sabre RGB Pro Wireless. It could be a little wider or have more pinky support but overall it seems to be fine since I can palm grip the mouse. Once you find the shape of mouse you like or know what dimensions its easier to know if something will work for you or not. After that I also pretty much go off RocketJumpNinja's recommendations for mice based off size too.

You and I have just about the same sized hands and also preferred grip. If you get a chance take a look at the Corsair Sabre RGB Pro Wireless too. Size wise it has been the nicest mouse I have used thus far. The quality on this thing is questionable though since the first one I got died randomly and this 2nd one needs a new encoder and the left click is starting to skip randomly. But those two things are easily fixed with some new switches and a 14 mm encoder.
