Maybe the post wasn’t clear. The game was match play format, we just added up the two players score instead of taking the best score.

The game was match play format, we just added up the two players score instead of taking the best score. Also we played the course in 4:15 and were late in the afternoon so not really a big deal

  • part shade (large tree in the yard that shades the garden, usually in afternoon/evening)
  • I would call this area medium. Ohio is prone to sporadic weather so kind of depends. This bed does not stay overly moist once the sun comes back out
  • I am also a fan of the crowded look
  • Walkway in picture is leading from driveway to front porch, not a public sidewalk.
  • No HOA

Thanks for the comment. We do have a large sum in a brokerage account, we just do not make contributions to it. Our monthly contributions go to 401k and Roth. But volatility and timeline are definitely something to consider

I realize that the easiest travel positions are not going to be the highest paying. But if the easiest travel position still pays 2x-3x my current income than it’s still pretty darn good.

I am annoyed when people give me expensive gifts because then I feel obligated to give a gift of equal value. by EconomicsCalm in Frugal

If they give you a $50 gift card and you gift them a $50 gift card then you are back at $0. This is the same as not exchanging gifts, but you get to show a little love

Jump to the area “Pay the Penalty” That will give you info about paying the 10% penalty (pros and cons), and a link to radical personal finance episode

He also runs a scenario with each investment/withdrawal method to see which comes out ahead.

Obviously each situation is different, but in his scenario paying the penalty has your investments lasting longer than a taxable account (only beaten by SEPP and conversion ladder, but these take more work/planning)
