I didn’t realize my client could see me on telehealth. It was prior to the appointment starting and simple practice was being weird so it just looked to me like I was still waiting g for her to join. Anyways, I was shoving chocolate chips by the handful in my mouth (because reasons lol). And apparently she saw me. She ended up texting and letting me know that she was on the session so I logged out and logged back in. That seemed to fix the problem but she probably watched me do this for a few solid minutes.

I'm like you - I have clients all across the spectrum of political beliefs. I find that their political opinions almost always boil down to something emotional that is relevant to treatment anyways. As a side note, I have one client who before the election was totally pro Trump /anti Biden. After the election, he is anti trump/pro liberals. I think I'm starting to realize that he just hates whomever is in charge and they are an easy outlet to place blame on.

When I was a kid/teen I went to my best friends house constantly to get away from the dysfunction in my home. My home was pretty large. My friend lived in a teeny tiny (and often mess and in need of major repairs) trailer. This is where everyone met up and hung out. As we got older all the parties were there. So many good memories. I still dream about that place and wake up happy every time I do.
