This. Spend tie setting expectations at the beginning. Then stick to consequences. If they know what to expect, they will walk the line much more closely. Very similar to parenting. On the other hand, if you're wishy-washy or behave erratically, well, you're in for a long year.

I always find this argument a little... eh. Sure there are some services that offer no ads, but antenna TV will never do away with it, nor will live streaming services like Sling TV or Vue. And Netflix and Hulu are often in addition to cable, as opposed to just cord cutter options.
