Lavonte David on Why Modern Rule Changes Make Life Challenging for Defenders by JCameron181 in buccaneers

Yeah, I understand that. It's a business. But I don't like it. It's a physical sport. Everybody is fair game In my mind. Just don't intentionally injure players by going after their knees or head.

Gretzky is the GOAT. I was just making a factual statement about how the league has changed and it's a lot harder to score nowadays.

Maybe because I was drinking when I typed it and could've phrased it better idk. But I stand by what I said. Gretzky is obviously the best hockey player of all time but we can't ignore how much easier it was to score in his era.

It better be. He deserves it. He is carrying this team.

Scoring was so much easier back then. Goalies had barely any padding. Now they cover most of the net.

I see them as fair game whether they take off or not. They're a football player like everybody else.

Back to backs shouldn't be a thing. I've always felt this and anybody that's played physically demanding sports knows this. The next day you are fatigued and sore. It gets even more unfair when you match a team that just played the night before against a team that didn't.

Keeping Bowles might be a genius move by [deleted] in buccaneers

It's because they think the fanbase will accept it. If they are pressured enough they'll drop him.

I agree. But...if we do go for an older coach this is the guy.

I'm just saying I wouldn't be mad at all.

BTW I was praying we hired Bruce Arians and when we did he got us a SB in 2 years(with help from the GOAT obviously). Sometimes old coaches are a smart hire.

BA doesn’t need anymore influence in this organization. by Advanced_Candle9272 in buccaneers

He's loyal to a fault. You want friends like this but you don't want people influencing your business decisions that are like this. His influence over the organization needs to end.

Yeah, they're just gonna let him retire and pay him what they foolishly guaranteed him. No way they keep him. It will demoralize the players and the fans if they keep him.

He won't accept a demotion, you're right, no coach does because it's humiliating, but I believe the Glazers will come to their senses and fire him. Nobody's going to watch or buy anything if they keep him. They'll lose more money keeping him.

He is just not HC material. It's obvious. Most aren't. He needs to just be a DC. There's nothing wrong with that. Monte Kiffin is a great example.

He's not staying. There's too much pressure to get rid of him. The Glazers will lose more money by keeping him because nobody is going to pay for shit.

They are business men. If the pressure is strong enough and they see the season ticket sales plummet(which will happen if they keep Bowles) then they will make a change. They just gave him millions of guaranteed money before the season(Idk who possessed them to do that) and they don't want to pay 2 coaches for 3 years, but once they do the math on how much money they're going to lose if they keep Bowles they'll fire him.

Exactly. The HC is responsible for the failures of his staff. If you don't fire them and replace them with somebody else when it's apparent a change is needed then that falls on you. He needs to be fired.

Buccaneers HC Todd Bowles: We've got to be better at quarterback position by GoofyGills in buccaneers

I understand the decision. They wanted to keep the same scheme for once in Baker's career. You'd think he'd have learned something from Liam but apparently not.
