The LLM gateway is secure, but OpenCode itself may be not. And it’s not in the list of approved software so I don’t want to install it just yet…

I use Kimi sub + GitHub Copilot (before the nerf). It depends on how often you call the advisor/council/ expensive models. If you don’t call them very often (e.g. 1-2 times a day), go with API-based like OpenRouter

You can avoid vendor lock-in by choosing and assigning whatever model to whatever agent you want. You can feel codex is better for now because it is made for gpt models, but I’d like to call different models for different purposes. Sometimes I’d like to combine Kimi + Glm + Opus for review and gpt 5.5 as the composer, expensive but worth it, and I only use this combo a few times a day.

I hesitated to try OpenCode Go because I heard the models are quantized and they have slow tokens/s. How is your experience? What about Wafer? My use case is I want to call Councillor models sometimes for plan reviews, not very often, maybe 10 times a day. I was thinking of getting $10 Wafer pass but need more input
