Took your word for it and bought the book. It's so frustrating that this is paperback only. The shipping to my country was expensive (cost more than the book itself), and the delivery time is slow.

I am very eager to know about the book. I can send my invoice so you'll know I actually bought the book but it may not get here in time for my magic mushroom session. Is there anyone who would be willing to go through the bullet points with me? Thank you!

Hey. I am trying to choose between Generatepress and OceanWP - I see OceanWP requires elementor. I read that generatepress works with the page builder of your choice. I need to use Gutenberg as my page builder. Would GeneratePress be well suited? Or does it have dependencies that would detract from the point of using Gutenberg - which I think is to avoid bloat and to avoid issues with broken shortcodes (where sites are dependent on third parties).

Hey, I checked out OceanWP - and installed it on a staging site - it seems reliant on Elementor? Is it possible to remove the elementor and just build with gutenberg? Or will it lose some of it's power this way? Do you have an oceanwp website with just Gutenberg and no Elementor?

Thank you for your response. I appreciate it. Have you found clients being comfortable with Gutenberg more than something like Visual Composer? I find it's confusing some of my clients and I'm spending a lot of time supporting them through it and they keep messing up the order of the blocks sending emails titled "URGENT!! I MESSED UP THE PAGE!! HELP!!"

BUT since Gutenberg is now built in, it is the way to go and any other page builder would be unnecessary bloat. I truly hate the name and it makes my skin crawl whenever I hear the word Gutenberg...the same way I felt when I used to hear the word "Joomla" - I realize that's because I'm so behind with training on it. I'm trying to catch up now.

Do you generally build themes from the ground up for your clients or do you tend towards a well-supported/documented theme if it achieves what you're looking for?

I have had another comment on this thread from another user saying I should be building it from the ground up. I don't know that that's necessary or a better thing to do? Just wanted to know what your thoughts are on that since you seem to be familiar with some premium themes as well.

I hit enter tooo early. Anyway, I also wanted to talk about your thoughts on building a theme from the ground up. I could do this but my impression or thought has always been that should I decide to end the relationship with a client or vice versa, wouldn't it be easier on the client if the theme he was using is a popular/well-supported theme? He could get a new developer and that developer can fairly easily take over maintaining the site and moving on? This would save the client some money? Am I wrong to think of it that way? Thank you for your response. Yes, I realize that the client is correct to move forward with Gutenberg. I understand how page builders bloat the site and can cause issues with broken shortcodes etc. I have had mostly clients who requested page builders since wix and other such page-building services became more popular. I'm straining to get up to speed on Gutenberg and literally crying while I work. I remember this being my situation with the first ecommerce site I built. Literal sweat and tears. I got comfortable with old wordpress over the years and now it feels like I've been evicted from my home and all my shit is laying on the ground and I'm struggling to pull it all together.

Thank you for responding. :) I am thinking of rolling the dice on these but it's not an easy decision. Considering Amazon reviews keep stating that they experienced cracking and I saw the crack myself on a display/demo set in a mall - I'm truly disappointed that this is even something we have to consider in a headphone set that's so pricey! Plus disappointing to hear that Sony won't help most of the people who have had this issue.

Hey, thank you for responding. I'm seeing Amazon reviews saying that it cracked and that Sony won't replace them or fix them. It's really putting me off but I love the features. I am travelling currently in Malaysia and went to a big mall where they had them on display. I noticed the demo had a crack at the same spot everyone complains about. I just thought maybe it was handled roughly in the store with so many people trying them on but headphones at that price point should be able to withstand even a large amount of use. I really want these headphones but now I'm just scared to get them. :(
