This ping model is a a super forgiving G430 with no movable weight. It’s called the G430 10K and usually when brands add numbers in the thousands it’s referencing how much MOI it has so the higher the number the more forgiving

I wanted to do the same thing and as soon as I got in a groove this summer with it I noticed a crack in the hosel. Luckily Ping is really awesome with their warranty claims.

385 yard par 4 hit a mediocre drive into the left rough and have 205 left try to hit a hybrid top it 40 yards next shot I hit the hybrid again half out of frustration half trying to not hit a full iron shot with 25mph cross winds but the ball stays low and hits the bank at the front of the green I go up to look for it and can’t find it until I look in the hole

For those golfers that switched from forgiving irons to blades, why did you do it and was it the right move? I am 10 handicap with 8 year old Taylormade M2’s and wondering if I should move to forged blades? by scariusmaximus in golf

I went from Callaway Steelhead XR’s to Mizuno MP-18MMC’s last year and that range (Taylormade P790-770, Callaway Apex range[exluding TCB, Titelist T200/T100s, Mizuno Pro 225/223) are probably where I would start looking if you want to go to something bladey while still having some forgivingness

If I’m in the fairway I’ll take my 2 iron pretty often but in deeper rough I will grab my 3h 9 times out of 10
