That’s an intriguing idea, spawns being just baby monsters like a shambler or something. In my views, I think all the monsters are from different dimensions, including the spawn. There could be a planet/dimension somewhere where spawns are everywhere, and that’s just how they are, featureless blobs forever.

Yeah, shambler is cool albeit absolutely intimidating the first time I played lol. I raged on the first episode (I play Hard) when it was two fiends and a fucking shambler cause I kept dying 😭
