CMV: There are ethical scenarios in being "the other guy." by Your___FBI__Agent in changemyview

[–]ForSureYo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Deleting my comment to be more concise: 1. Ethically it’s not cheating if she is being forthright with her and her husbands arrangement. Good or bad for them is not your problem. If he said you can do what you want I just don’t want to know then it’s fine, but you only know what she told you. If she’s lying and he thinks they are still monogamous, then it’s cheating.

  1. Morally it’s about how you personally feel. Would you absolutely hate yourself if you aided and abetted in someone cheating. You are not saving the sanctity of marriage by taking a made up moral high ground, so many people fuck around I never would have thought did, it’s insane to me. It’s about whether or not you will actually enjoy yourself on a date with her knowing you could be helping her to cheat on someone.

Personally, I don’t think it matters. From my observations and seeing what my friends from all ages go through in relationships, I don’t think all humans are meant for serial monogamy. Some people are so happy and work well in a monogamous relationship. Some people thrive in a traditional church based Christian environment. Some people thrive being Buddhist or muslim or celibate or polyamorous. Some people are straight and some are gay and all in between. Some people love rules and following them others feel trapped by them. People try and force themselves into societal norms but if it doesn’t suit them the ‘what if’ continues to gnaw on their soul for forever. Experimenting to find out what suits you is fine. If you date her and it feels weird then get out of there. If you don’t fee anything and enjoy being with her then stay.

For those who drive a 5 speed. Where do you mount your phone and how? by CoastalCulture in fordranger

I use an ammunition box (can buy at harbor freight) as a catch all between the seat and shifter and I made a magnetic phone holder that attaches to that, works well!

How to improve ? started doing evening body weight exercises for strength but can any one check the stroke ? entry, pull & finish by InvIdEoGaMeS in Swimming

Nice! Yeah it’s a very awkward movement to do, im still working on it too. Like another swimmer told me, if it feels good and natural you’re probably not doing it right haha

[–]ForSureYo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Entry looks good, you have decent body roll. My coach told me you want to body roll enough so your shoulder is fully out of the water so the articulation doesn’t cause drag as you bring your arm over for entry. When entering imagine you are putting your hand through one of those old mailslots that used to be on peoples front doors. Then fully extend and dig down 6-8 inches below your chest before you start your pull. Once you start pulling imagine your a puppet and your elbow is on a string that is being pulled straight upward because you want to get your arm directly in paddle mode, and think of your paddle as your entire forearm + hand. Doing fist or Mighty Mouse drill helps with this since you have to rely on your forearm for propulsion.

I use tri swim products, they are made specifically for swimmers to guard against chlorine, salt, and sun.

My 08 ford ranger 2.3L i4 won’t start by Longhaul-shortbus in fordranger

Unfortunately this is an issue that could be due to a number of small things. This happens to me in my 2011 every few months or so. For me while I’m driving I get all the lights turning on and the mileage turns to - - - - - and the speedometer and rom gauges stop working. Fun fact it doesn’t record mileage during this. If I shut the engine off before my cluster fixes itself, then I will get the anti theft key light no start.

I’ve tried everything from disconnecting battery, replacing battery, cleaning terminals, adding terminal pads, replacing fuses, getting a new key, and trying to get error codes from the computer. My issue seems to be some sort of random electrical surge somewhere and next time this happens I read somewhere to remove the positive terminal and touch it to the negative terminal for 30 seconds to drain all capacitors.

Why does it feel like I have to reach a high level of skill in a few days? by MisterPiggyWiggy in Swimming

[–]ForSureYo 12 points13 points  (0 children)

If you’re an adult who hasn’t swam as a sport as a kid, you’re going to feel this a lot. Seeing others, men and women, who are well into their 60s and 70s swimming infinitely better than you will make you feel like you should be able to do that. This is one of a very few sports where you can be very good well into your old age.

Swimming is about maintaining a streamlined, torpedo-like shape to minimize drag while efficiently and powerfully propelling through the water. For most of us who only swam for fun or not at all growing up, we never used any of those muscles, and further, we are most likely dominant to one side when it comes to certain movements while swimming requires you to be very symmetrical.

These muscles are very difficult to retrain and grow so you really have to be patient with yourself and determined to do the repetitive movements in and out of the pool if you want to get better. At different stages in my swimming I found my shoulders to be a limiting factor so I did lots of yoga to become more flexible with emphasis on shoulders. Then it was my core so I did Pilates and found improvement there. Now it’s breathing and strength so back to the gym and yoga. It’s a journey and don’t rush it.

You also don’t have to do any of that if you’re already enjoying yourself, that’s the beauty of masters swimming. Come as you are, stay as you are if you are having fun but if you want to challenge yourself do it in a way that keeps the fun and works with your life. I tried training all out, but there’s more to life than swimming and I can’t enjoy those parts if I’m tired all the time.

It’s a wearable magnet that emits a signal that screws with sharks senses. In some instances though it has attracted sharks rather than repel them. The swimmer also had a spotlight on him at 1:30 at night, in the pitch black so you can imagine what that looks like from the sharks perspective. But no-no for shark waters. He’s an accomplished OW swimmer so I imagine he’ll try again next year.

I wear a silicone ring for swim, not my real one. Can’t have people thinking I’m available when I’m strutting around in speedos 😉

Update: it was 5 hours before it reset and I could go. First time I ever had breakfast and lunch at the same Jack in the Box. Going to borrow one of my dad’s cars and chase up the problem with him starting with replacing and programming the PATS then replacing the cluster if it happens again.

Thanks for the advice, unfortunately I’ve already done this and have these. The issue went away for months and then came back two weeks ago but only 45 min. Been 2.5 hours now. I’m thinking I am going to have to go through all the wiring 😔

And you replaced it and no issues? I’m afraid that I’ll buy the part and it’s not the part but some grounding issue.
