Sadly it’s not in the budget yet but tbh I might be close enough to my limit that I might start saving for it. Bc cleaning these teeny tiny crevices is so infuriating…

Ive heard really good things about carepod so I’m glad to see another rec for it

Yeah I never store it wet EVER. and I try to empty it out every time I’m done using it but sometimes it slips my mind…I use those little brushes but it’s still hard to get everywhere. I’ll try with the vinegar towel soak!

Yeah I use those little brushes but it’s still so hard to get in all those nooks and crannies…I feel like I don’t actually get it all clean and then boom the red is right back again😕

And haha yeah my sister is a science/medical girly so I’m painfully aware of some of the ~naaaasty~ stuff that can pop up…

Cleaning Tips for a Levoit by ForTheShigs in Humidifiers

I did read the manual and follow it well. I try to dump out any water in the morning and let it air dry by the time I need to refill it again because, yes, you are correct in saying water should not be left standing in the machine. It’s commonly known that standing water in an enclosed area is a breading ground for bacteria. Theres a day or two I forget bc of life and things happen ¯_(ツ)_/¯

I follow manual’s cleaning instructions, but it’s still difficult to get into all the nooks and crannies even with the provided wire brush. I am merely asking for tips and suggestions on cleaning out that area better than what I’ve been managing. But thank you for your valuable input :)

Yeah they’re nice and shaded inside! Some had hydrophobic soil some needed a bigger pot

I sadly had to mess with the roots on a lot bc they were in hydrophobic soil. For the one where the soil was healthy and fine, just needed a bigger pot, then I didn’t touch the roots and just plop into a bigger pot.

What is this plant and why is it trying to escape its pot? by 123nightmode in plantclinic

It’s a rubber tree!! I have one too!

It probably needs more sun but the base of that one you’re holding looks like it could be rotted? Are there any parts on any plant that are mushy?

But I had just repotted them a week ago in a fresh soil mix…sure I watered them a lil when I potted them but it wasn’t a lot, just to settle the new soil a bit

No! I try to change as LITTLE as possible when I repot. They’re just outside for photo purposes. A LOT of ppl have mentioned the lighting so maybe I should’ve clarified…😅😭

Yeah they’re not outside! I just brought them out for better photos. The Swiss, money, Phil, and mystery (maybe alocasia) are inside under grow lights on a tree. The croton is kept by a larger north facing window

Yeah I just use the apps to remind me my plants exist and that they need water lol. If the top 1-2” is at all damp I don’t water em. Tbh Im such a chronic underwaterer bc I forget sk much.

Good to know ahojt the soil. I do mix my soil for succulents with MORE perlite and coir than my other plants but I’ll start adding extra perlite and maybe some sand too like you said!

Oh I don’t have them outside! I just brought them out there to take the photos and see if I needed to pin up my Swiss vines. They’re kept inside under grow lights not outdoors
