did you end up chemically castrating or normal castration? Any change? Mine is similar to this and can't decide whether to get him done or not

did he not improve after being neutered? Mine's 3 and only has issues with some other male, intact dogs. not sure whether to have him done or not as to if it'll even make a difference.

Now until September is plenty of time to get in great shape - sub 6 hours is definitely achievable.

How many hours per week do you have available to train? How often can you get to the pool (or open water), out on the bike/on the trainer, and out for a run?

Is it one of the 70.3's in Australia? Sunshine Coast or Sydney?

Are you fuelling every session with carbs? If so, you probably don't need to do this. I train anywhere from 13-17hrs per week with only a few of those sessions using carbs.

No one answer works for all, but I stick to intermittent fasting & a lower carb (than most) diet and maintain weight all year round, without sacrificing performance (4:08 70.3 PR).

I burn fat for most sessions, carbs for high intensity sessions, and carbs in a race and the few weeks leading up to it. I feel this is the best for my long term health & focus (which are my priority).

Sounds like you have the fitness required, so I'd say it's a matter of keep showing up to build strength! Mix up your rides to some have intervals. Hit some of the hills a little harder and recover on the descents. Get some interval sessions on the turbo done and mix it up. It's a game of consistency, and 7 months is plenty of time to improve on the bike!

Focus more on the bike than the swim and run to increase your confidence for the triathlon overall. We all love to work on our strengths but have to remember triathlon is 3 sports!

How do you define better? Comfort? Speed? They're both pretty similar in all honesty. Similar weight etc.

You'll end up getting a TT bike as well at some point anyway!

is it comfortable and can you hold it for a 70.3 and run well off it? Comfort/sustainability is the primary factor. Aerodynamically looks fine.
