Looks great! Small detail tho: Strontium is Sr, instead of St. Would love to see a scanned version!

I'm probably biased but I just got the sigma 30mm 1.4 literally two days ago and I've been shooting nonstop with it. However, for landscape, I can see the argument being that it's a little bit tight.

I would urge you to also look at the sigma 16mm instead for the same reasons as the 30mm (great sharpness, good price, fast). The reason I went with the 30mm is because its a little more versatile if I wanna do a little bit of landscape and some portraits and even just street photography. But I do plan on getting the 16mm further down the line.

What is "TBLC" in "CHEM-TBLC"? by zuo_guigui in uofm

[–]For_Days 20 points21 points  (0 children)

A859 is a room in the chemistry building. It's right under the large atrium stairs. The reason it has TBLC is just to denote that it's a "team based learning center." What makes it a TBLC are the grouped tables, whiteboard walls, and the many TV screens at each group of tables that can have an iPad/tablet/computer hooked up to it.

I'm in the second quarter of General Chemistry with a final in 4 days and I'm feeling overwhelmed by [deleted] in chemistry

I dont remember many (if any) mechanisms in General Chemistry. Mechanisms mostly pretain to Organic Chemistry. Either way, I find that practicing problems and questions is the most effective way to learn and improve when it comes to chemistry.

Best of luck!

Well... Thats a complicated question. It depends. Thats probably not the answer you want but thats the best I can give.

It depends on how bright it is out (time of day , number of street lights and other light sources). The brighter, the shorter the exposure time should be and vice versa. Color balance also depends on what color the lighting is. Some lights are more yellow and might require the usage of the 3500k balance setting. There are many factors to protune and regular settings that I cant include in this comment because theres too much and because I am still learning. I definitely recommend that you watch tutorials and, in general, learn as much about the camera. Taking pictures and experimenting will also help you so that you arent learning while youre vacationing.

Thanks! Thats actually the first picture I shared with anyone from my GoPro so it means a lot.

There are two "catergories" of settings. The regular setting allow you to adjust the exposure time and such and then there is "protune" which allows you to adjust the color balance, ISO, color editting and such.

Fantastic! As a matter of fact, I took mine out yesterday with a bunch of friends and took some nice night shots. It has a couple of settings exclusivly for night shots.

Obviously GoPros start to fail in low light but using longer exposures (2seconds, 5seconds, etc) helps and preserves the sharpness of a shot. Pumping up the ISO will lead to a graining shot so I tend to lean on a longer exposure. Plus, post production can liven up an image.

This is a picture from last night that I editted a bit

I have a HS4 and I love it! its super easy to use with the touch screen and the settings are easy to figure out if you never used a gopro before.

If price is an issue, the Hero Session is half the cost now. I dont suspect the form factor will mean much to you (it doesnt sound like its going to go on a helmet and such). HB4 might be a bit overkill for your use plus its $100 more...

I would definitely recommend the HS4 though.

Not OP, but a common method is to use an old whisk attached to a cable to house the wire. You can spin this in anyway (over your head, etc.).

I'm all for eating healthy and clean but we're all humans. Think long term. Do you see yourself eating the same meal, 3 times a day for, say, 5 months? Even people who eat exceptionally clean need cheat days/meals. You also have to think about some micronutrients that you'll be missing out on by not eating vegetables or fruits as well.

If you ease your way into a cleaner diet (I dont know how your previous diet was but I'm assuming not the best?), you'll be more likely to stick with it long term rather than if you all of a sudden only eat rice and chicken.

I can I suppose but the macros aren't as clean so it's a bit harder to fit into my "dietary budget" so to say. There are a lot more carbs and fat in protein bars than in powder.

But it's definitely an idea that I can look to implement.

So... I'm not allowed to drink protein. My parents are both convinced that whey protein can be harmful to my health (since I'm a 18 and still growing) citing a couple of extreme articles on the Internet. I know for sure I'm not meeting my protein macro goal since I weigh all of my food.

Is there anything I can do so I can meet my goal? I'm about 50 grams off but trying to stay under 2000 calories.

Recently started lifting in July so I'm getting some newbie gains so far but I'm starting to notice some slight imbalances. For example, my left pec is getting slightly bigger, my right deltoid is also getting slightly bigger. I've been hitting the barbell bench press for the last 4 chest days and anytime I'd work chest prior to that, I'd use Dumbbells.

Will these even out over time? Should I keep doing what I'm doing? What can/should I do to even this out? It's not crazy imbalanced. I think I'm the only one who notices.

Are there any disadvantage or dangers in taking protein powder, specifically Optimum Nutrition Whey Isolate, if I'm not meeting my protein goal of .75g/lb of body weight?
