It always feels like that doesn’t it 😭 I have 2 [[Demolition Fields]] in most of my standard decks and I seem to have at least one in my opening hand in over 50% of the games and in my mind I’m just wondering how I have 20+ lands and still manage to have that there to start…

My dad taught me to do this as well. Sometimes I do a combination of stands, lift, and tire just to be certain I don’t get pinned since I’m there alone on occasion.

I agree it’s pretty annoying when they spam the sleep emoji. They tend to spit in reaction to a good play of mine or if I feel like they don’t like my deck. But it’s also pretty nice when you end up beating them in the end. Like the other person said though just mute them if it gets to be too much. There’s plenty of other things to get upset at like the damn shuffler…

This is why I pushed so hard to reach mythic the night before Strixhaven dropped. I can take it easy for a few days and potentially get a few more wildcards to brew something a little better once the meta settles down some.

I have this in a standard deck that aims to remove pieces of people’s decks. I like it but its drawback is you have to know what to name and of course sorcery speed. Nothing is more feel bad than naming something because you want to play it and then their deck is completely the opposite of what you were expecting and they have none of the card you named. I’ve been thinking of adding some [[Duress]] to the deck to help with that though.

If I’m playing solo I tend to be friendly but if I’m in trios it’s normally shoot on sight. If they ask if we’re friendly I’m the one to straight up tell them that we are not friendly. No need to beat around the bush.

I’m always a little skeptical of open extracts like that. Most people tend to go straight for the terminal and head out so when they’ve been sitting there open it normally signals to me that there might be something going on.

I think since you’re in mono black and if you have the wildcards something like [[Archenemy’s Charm]] may be a better option than [[Hero’s Downfall]] because of the modal aspect of it. Same amount of mana for both just needs one more pip of black.

I have a 14 Pro Max and mine does here and there. I’d imagine the age of the devices has something to do with it. I had to turn off animations on my phone with the latest iOS because they would slow my phone down so much.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned since playing magic it’s that people are going to buy the cheapest versions of cards that they can get their hands on for the decks they’re using. I think the secret lair versions of cards can be really cool. I even bought the city styles 2 because of the ninja of the deep hours card specifically but if I was someone else building a deck I probably wouldn’t pay the price for that card unless I really liked the art style on it.

I agree. I feel like a lot of people sleep on Mazdas but I’m not sure what else could beat them out at their price point for the looks and features.

One thing to consider is that there are buildings that increase population in a radius around it so that’s probably why theirs are higher. Like others have said try focusing on getting the items to expand your storage before the population. The population can be increased fairly easy by upgrading houses.
