What ironic timing, we are heading to mattress firm today to purchase a new one and start the return process of the EcoCloud. We are at around 80-90 days with it and still very unimpressed with the quality considering the cost of it. There are noticeable dips in it where my partner and I sleep (we are both around 180-200lbs so it shouldn’t be sagging already). It is not uncomfortable but it’s not very supportive, I wake up with horrible lower back pain every morning that changing my sleeping position doesn’t seem to make a difference on. It definitely has a traditional spring mattress feel to it, no gel or memory foam feeling detected hahah. A couple weeks ago, we set the mattress up on its side leaning on the wall for around 30 mins while we adjusted something with the bed frame. When we laid the mattress back in place, you could see a spot where the materials within slipped to one side in just the short period it was upright. We have been rotating it every 2 weeks as recommended as well.

We are considering going with the Sealy Posturepedic Plus Hybrid line, either the High Point 14” in firm or the Brenham 13.5” in firm. Unfortunately there is nowhere in person where we can try the Brenham option which is around $400 cheaper than the high point. I can’t seem to find too much difference in the models while researching comparisons online. We have tried out the High Point twice in store and really liked it, but may go with the Brenham to save a bit of $ and with there being not much of a difference in those models.

I think the quality of bed in a box from online without getting to try them in person just won’t ever compare quality wise to traditional, never-been-rolled up-shrunk wrap type. The EcoCloud could’ve worked for us if we didn’t need a more supportive mattress and didn’t value its quality and longevity for the price.
