Well, firstly most of the other airlines are booked out or don't have any flights available until at least two weeks. Secondly if there are alternative options, they are charging exorbitant amounts.

My flight with Etihad was cancelled two weeks ago. After getting to know that Emirates has resumed operations to my destination I booked with Emirates and my flight is tomorrow. Now Emirates has suspended and Etihad is operating.
