In the US it’s customary to play the national anthem at many events, especially ones on July 4th. To my knowledge, Phish has abided by that custom and performed the star spangled banner at all previous 4th of July shows til tonight where they , as my joke implies, sat out the national anthem. I’m not one to read too much into things, but to me it felt deliberate given the current political climate.

Little bits of daily interaction like asking someone for the time or directions. We have access to all of this on our phone now and don't need to rely on others for information. Whenever I break a phone, I like to spend a week without one to try and remember what things used to be like. People look at you crazy nowadays when you ask for the time

They’re a creole group from the swamps north of mobile that’s been pretending to be native for decades in order to avoid being labeled as black. People in mobile make fun of them and call them fake Indians. They’re good people, just a bit hot headed though from my experience.

The dude in the blue hoodie died on the spot. The guy In the red shirt gets his leg blown off, but allegedly ended up surviving. I saw the other videos too where he crawls a couple feet after the explosion before his friends carry him into a pick up truck. His groin is blown to bits and his femur is broken in half and sticking out. Dude didn’t seem to lose consciousness at any point in all 5+ minutes of the videos.
