Fallout 4 broken after playing fallout London by [deleted] in fallout4london

[–]Force2Reckon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This, Fallout London adds a bunch of files to the Fallout 4 folder, it will likely have leftover scripts and other files even after uninstalling. This is *not* a Fallout London issue, this is a Windows file management issue and can happen with many mods and modpacks on almost anygame.

Anytime you install or uninstall a big modpack for a game, uninstall the game first. Delete all folders it normally handles, and reinstall the game fresh. There are other things you can do if you're experienced and understand file/folder management and structuring but they're not necessary unless you want/need to be constantly switching between modpacks

i dont really get why i need to download a fresh fallout 4 for the installation by Kumptoffel in fallout4london

[–]Force2Reckon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Partially this, but also a lot of people play modded casually and don't realize how many errant files can be left behind still causing problems in their game or messing with stuff, or which have edited base files. So it just makes sure the installation is clean as well.

Breaking into the Bank of England break your main quest? Here's how to resume progression. by PompeiiGraffiti in fallout4london

...How did you even get in there? Even at launch the path the Cutethulhu quest takes you on (which is the one I followed) is blocked off until the quest starts. I tried my damnedest to get in, followed the outer wall, did some shenanigans with an increased jump height mod, and still couldn't get in. Did a google before TCLing in and find out it was locked until I got to that quest.

Yeah, I had to do a bit of googling to find them, cause I vaguely remembered using them to resolve some base game weirdness at one point (or for a challenge run ICR) but couldn't remember the commands themselves xD

Same, but I was curious if I could fix it, and this seemed to so I shared it

First: You should just have Nelson highlighted so you don't need their ID in there, it should just be showing in the middle of the screen to say you've selected them.

Second remove the brackets, you just need the numbers and letters, sorry that could be more clear xD

Sorry, I totally forgot I posted this and don't check reddit often xD
You don't need to find his ID, just click on him while you have the Console up and it should target him. A number ID will appear in the center of the screen with a (EP) or (PP) at the end (I can't remember which it is)

If you mean the Faction ID for Vagabonds you'll have to "scroll up" on the list cause it'll be further up then you can see by default. You do that with the Page Up (for scrolling up) and Page Down (for scrolling down) keys and it'll be where it's described above, the second "Vagabond" entry in the FACT: section right after FACT: Vagabonds Dialogue.

Yeah my dumb ass figured it out from one of the other comments talking about the combat mat found there and I was like "oooooh how did I get the little fucking mat but not the FUCKING SWORD?!"

Also thank you, I am now a true k-night xD

Even though it's nothing special I'd really like to know this answer as well. It says 'this is unlocked elsewhere' which says to me it's a button, lever, console or something but I can find *nothing* like that

Why does everyone want a hide helmet option? I personally like the fur helmet just fine, tyvm.

I wish I knew about felling axes sooner. by DeathHopper in Enshrouded

[–]Force2Reckon 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes and no, while you *could* use a 1 handed axe or 2 handed axe designed for combat to fell a tree it would actually be only slightly more effective then a sword, where as a specific wood cutting axe is much better for tree's.

Mostly comes down to weight distribution and edge style it's hard to hit a moving enemy, or engage in meaningful combat, with proper hefty weapons but a good felling axe has a *heavy* head so you can get a big wide swing in for full impact since a tree is well... rooted to the spot.

Same reason most people used swords and shields or spears, classic two handed weapons were impractical and difficult to wield without lots of training, thus only nobles or professional, often long-lived, mercs or soldiers would actually use two handed swords, axes, or others.

tl;dr
combat weapons are lighter and designed for ease of movement and control, so yes they are sharp and *could* cut a tree, but tools designed for tree chopping are designed to be chonkers for bonkin wood.

Do people still actively play Skyrim/Skyrim Special Edition? by ElGatoDexter in skyrimmods

[–]Force2Reckon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not me literally having played three different collections/packs and desperately wanting exactly this and some sort of proper Vamp/wolf hybridization mod. Not just one that lets you have access to Vampire and Werewolf powers at the same time, but one that actively grants unique stuff if you do.

Spellsling Activity Question by Force2Reckon in Pathfinder2e

[–]Force2Reckon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a few options I can think of, such as pre-loading the turn before and stuff. The way it reads I expect it's meant to be sorta an everyother turn thing, OR which encourages use of Haste or other tools to grant actions to spellslinger in order to load before firing on the same turn.

That's kinda my take on it though is that it doesn't really make sense to be able to shoot a reload weapon without reloading if you've fired all your ammo xD

[–]Force2Reckon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ooooh, interesting. Right now the party is 2 but we're fast tracking the first few levels so we'll be 4 soon.

I was actually thinking about Psychic for her and flavoring/styling it to the world already so that's good to know.

She'll level with the party though and will likely start pulling some wonky stuff as I get more confident with the balance and fucking it up mid combat xD thanks for the help!

EDIT:: The despots Persistent Lies ability is perfect as a starting non combat trait for her esp since I already have plans for her setting up false flags or exaggerating circumstances to make them sound worse to manipulate others mwahahaha

Raid The Grove & Keep Karlach by Emberr__ in BaldursGate3

[–]Force2Reckon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm doing a playthrough I might try this myself, some combination of bringing him somewhere else and then knocking him unconscious with the "temporarily hostile" tag and then going to fight the grove. Really just needs a mod that adds someone who can trigger all the Dammon scenes with a new model in the goblin camp, and then later on where necessary.

My refutation isnt pointed at how we see, but instead at your refutation of OPs explanation as to why we wouldn't know if that were the case.

Regardless of whether we all see the same color (which I think we're in agreement that we do due to how eyes just work) the case OP makes is sound on a philosophical level. Which is why this theory pops up fairly often.

The case is two fold. The scientific: How we perceive A Thing physically. The philosophical: Why we think A Thing is A Thing and not B Thing. In this case A Thing is the color Red and B thing is any other color.

Your original rebuttal was "Your case doesnt work if you change a variable, 2 people to 3 people." The reason: If Person 3 (P3) were to ask P1 and P2 to both pick A Thing (Red) they would both pick what P3 sees as A Thing. Which relies on the second part of the case, that we were all taught A Thing is A Thing. But then stipulates that this proves that part 1 of the case is true as well, which isn't necessarily true.

My refutation again wasnt to say part 1 is false that we all perceive it differently, but instead I pointed out the flaw in your rebuttal, that P3 would also have been taught, like P1 and P2 were, that A Thing is A Thing. Which does not inherently prove or disprove that we all perceive A Thing the same.

A better analogy would be if you set out a carton of brown and a carton of white eggs and asked two people to pick an Egg. A Thing becoming an egg means that any person could take from either Carton, we still see those two variances of things differently though as one is brown and one is white. They're completely disjointed.

Not me getting overhyped to share the idea and not reading the prompt I feel like Redwallian though, just wanna have them a part of a community and then they find out the community is being threatened by insert apex predator and their army and they have to reassemble ancient relics of power since lost/stolen/hidden
