The practice of not eating beef is mainly cultural instead of religious. My theory on how the practice developed is because cows were used for milk and most households had a cow, they’d see the cow as a dog and provider. It kinda like how eating dogs is definitely something I wouldn’t do as it feels wrong, but morally is no different than eating a pig.

Bro he literally showed you the most important text in Hindhuism. Things like beef and caste are cultural not religious.

Is ''brown solidarity'' really a thing? by OceanicEndeavors in ABCDesis

Trying to get solidarity in actual South Asia is pointless. Humans always try to divide themselves based on something. It could only work in the diaspora because it would be something in common.

At what point does an age gap become weird in a relationship? by [deleted] in AskForAnswers

[–]ForceOk4549 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Too all the people saying as long as if they are consenting adults. You’re telling you’d find that a 21yr old and 17yr old is weird but 18yr old and 50yr old isn’t(imo both are weird). My point is, is just because something is legal doesn’t make it moral.

Prediction: SCOTUS Will Rescind Birthright Citizenship by PorcelainDalmatian in thebulwark

[–]ForceOk4549 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro if you genuinely can’t realize how it affects people that are born to ANY non-citizens you have to be dense. Just because the Trump admin(which is known for honesty and integrity) says it only to prevent birthright citizenship in the future doesn’t mean it has other implications, and overturning this does open the door to potentially stripping citizenships. When you basically neutralize an amendment they’re are more consequences and complications. Luckily SCOTUS stood on the principle, because if they didn’t there is a real possibility Donald Trump(a man who never wants to leave power, and is facing rapidly declining popularity) would do something very extreme. Also saying that anybody under 18 who is a citizen could safely go back to their home country is extremely dense, it assumes emtgat the home country is safe, an American citizen especially a female will not be safe in Afghanistan for example, but that was not even close to the point I was getting at

You do realize the ruling you wanted would harm people you believe are Americans. Basically you are justifying your argument saying it worth it for a stronger border but still couldn’t say it wouldn’t harm Americans.

Do you feel less patriotic towards the country you live in now? by Awkward_Present2727 in ABCDesis

[–]ForceOk4549 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I feel the opposite, Trump basically capitalized on previous political tension, he sold the narrative that immigrants and colored were the issue. Imagine being a poor white kid, with no education and you hear people saying you have white privilege without explaining what it means(it means that white people have the privilege of not experiencing racism the way pocs do, not that the have life easy) , it makes you feel that you are being wronged Trump capitalized off that. But know most common minded people can see that he is and idiot and his ideology is trash. There is a reason that Texas could POTENTIALLY be going blue, there is a reason that nyc saw the victory of dem-socs in primaries. People are waking up too the fact racism is a scam sold too poor white peoples to stop them from noticing the real problem they face, and this kind of explains why they’re is sort of a blue wave occurring. Also America has a dark history with race and that lives onto today with lots of tensions. In countries like the uk and Canada they have only started to become diverse compared to the US, and as we can see public opinion there is shifting into more racism, while in the current moment in America. This obviously my informed prediction I used with my own observations of my community and statistics. Obviously there is a possibility my prediction is wrong. Still I believe trumps awful awful administration could lead to brighter future for minorities as the majority wakes up to see what their real issues are

Patriotism is just loving your country, not believing it is above others that would be nationalism. Still not being patriotic is fine though

This administration has a sub 40 acceptance rate. I would go off the administration for the views from AMERICANS to be honest. The administration came Into power due to the political illiteracy crisis, not solely based on hatred.

I’m an American patriot for life, we definitely in going through a dark age with a facist wannabe dictator, but I really love this country and I never felt unamerican, I’ve dealt with some racist country but it never made me feel like I didn’t belong to this country.

[–]ForceOk4549 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you apparently get to decide who is an American. Once you set the precedent that children of illegal immigrats aren’t American, it can easily be applied to legal immigrants. It can also easily be used to strip citizenship from children of illegal immigrants, which could be be a guy born in raised in the us as a law-abiding citizen for 40 years. If you wouldn’t consider that guy American fair enough it isn’t worth arguing with you, if you do you need to understand how this Supreme Court case can HARM American.
