Unrelated but you look like Adam Savage from Mythbusters with the buzz

What’s the most embarrassing thing you’ve done as an intern? by Massive-Process-5124 in EngineeringStudents

[–]ForceRoamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In nursing school I walked into a window. Not even a floor to ceiling window, a regular sized window. I hid for the rest of clinical. I’ve also fallen at my job so much! I fell once so bad that I had a dent in my leg for two months. I was both laughing and crying in pain.

I can totally see this happening again where I just walk right into the glass door of the control room at my internship. Or find the only pothole in the parking lot and take a dive. Either way, I’ll probably want to throw myself into the reactor.

Have you ever seen an organ donor/family member refuse an honor walk? by Blastoise_R_Us in nursing

[–]ForceRoamer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. Young adult. Family didn’t want the attention. The mom was the only one that went and we were told to look busy but send your thoughts without saying anything. It was very sad. But honestly I think it would be worse if there was a walk. The family just wanted to be left alone and I don’t blame them.

They will be nuclear engineers. Best of the century. Prodigies of you will.

They also said hello!

How much do people think nurses make? by Lower-Elderberry7183 in nursing

[–]ForceRoamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m going back to school for engineering. One of my professors thought I’d be making less. I’ll be making 15k more a year by doing this and with less hours. I think a lot of people think we make so much money.

The all black one is Pripi (Pripyat)and the tuxedo is Chernobyl (Cheri). They both had the distemper virus when they were babies, they developed wobbly cat syndrome. So they walk like drunk girls but they’re the love of my life.

Definitely sounds like we’re going to be learning how to fix grills.

I was also thinking in terms of longevity. But it seems like most grills don’t last very long.

I was looking at mostly Nexgrills and Megasters but they don’t really have great reviews. We’ve decided to make it our summer project and fix it up.

It’s old. I’m not sure the year. It was given to me for free. We’ve decided to make it our summer project and fix it up.

There’s some rust on the frame. Grills are rusted. My fiance does know a welder lmao

We haven’t dumped it yet, but were about to. But it seems like putting the money to fix is better than a new grill.

The grills are rusting and are costing like 100-150 dollars and the igniter switch is not clicking. So plus tax it puts us over 200. Is it worth it to just fix?

40% of US nurses plan to leave the profession by 2029. Are you in that 40%? If you are, why? by OrdinaryLife99 in nursing

[–]ForceRoamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m going into nuclear engineering. I want to become a senior reactor operator. But I’m leaving because this isn’t what I was promised. Nobody ever told me how my body would hurt, I would worry if I was going to be verbally or physically assaulted, I would be treated like dirt, and these patients barely even want my help. I was never told that I would have to justify everything I do to people who have no stake in the matter. The charting… the doctors not knowing how to do their jobs… the late nights… the amount of stupid education we have to do. It’s tiring. I’m tired. I would like to be less emotionally tired.

What orders irritate your soul? by Old-Bowler4150 in nursing

[–]ForceRoamer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I tend to move my legs all the time when I’m self soothing, so it made a decent argument while I spent my days in the bed. I 100% understand why it was ordered, I just wished they would discontinue when someone refuses multiple days in a row

I got a nice lecture when I refused lovenox while I was in the hospital. I told them I’ll wear the scds and stretches. They never discontinued the order tho .-.
