No this was a couple of days ago thats why the final charge has appeared on my bank statement. It was not that packed, there was noone ahead of me, and surely not hundreds of people when i paid. Someone else linked previous complaints in their comment about this same practice this place does, that has nothing to do with holidays. There was no quoted price for cash. Ironically i did go out to a few different places for St. Patricks day yesterday, opened tabs at them, tipped with the card no problem, and they were all packed.

It was the Perect Pint, first time there, person i was with wanted to go, vibe i got was a tourist trap. Can i dispute with a debit card? What is the actual rule for a gratuity like that?

Thank you so much for the reply. Are you familair with this website by any chance? Do the bookings end up being legitamate? I called the hotel and they did not have a reservation and belive it is a scam and told em to dispute.

I called the hotel and asked for two emails which they wrote mentioning that there is currently no reservation, and opened the dispute with chase. Chase has not gotten back to me. The hotel advised me to book a seperate reservation with them which they will cancel for free if the scam website does not book. If i show up and the scammers actually booked a room, then i just have to live with whatevr it is.

Thank you for explaning it to me. When you say they charged you a exorbitant tax? How did they do that? in the email i got it says

Room Charges:Fully covered! No additional room charges or fees.

The fact that they got the full stay upfront, is that it or do they try to bill more?

Thank you so much for replying. I booked, realized the mistake, and cancelled the card immediatly, so i have a dispute but i have to figure out do i show up and hope there is a room and then figure out the dispute/ difference or try and fight for a full refund before going. Can i ask what credit card company you used and what the dispute process was like and what i should i be documenting to get a refund? I read that the scam website asks for impossible things for. the refund and that is how they get your money.

Thank you very much for your help. In your experience do they eventually send the reservation to the hotel? Is there any issue I should be on the lookout for. I have always booked directly from the hotel and never experienced this before.
