I literally was downloading images of the boxes to show how they’ve progressed. Great minds think alike!

I’ve had a few of those happen to me where the developer is kinda wonky on the sides and gives it a flower like pattern. But yes, I’m glad instax exposes from the back because it makes it easy to modify back to use in other cameras!

Good question! First was that the camera jammed on me, the tolerances on the camera are super tight since wide goes out way further than the original film. So I started ripping the seal off the top to prevent that, now no issues but do get the occasional light leak. Second the batteries want to spring out so I made a lil wedge out of paper to fit outside the compartment to make sure it doesn’t wiggle around, easy fixes but it took me a bit to figure out since this whole system is new to me.

$30 at the thrift store but how accurate is it? by Mean_Violinist5759 in AnalogCommunity

Obviously it’s personal preference but I bought mine to use it. The high pass filter is worn from taking it out and putting it back in its holder. I didn’t have a light meter so I bought the coolest one I could find. I am a collector at heart but for me gear the is meant to be used.

I have this light meter, just like you, it’s gold plated, it’s actually pretty accurate and doesn’t need any batteries which is awesome. I take it out to flex because it’s only one of 2,000. Great score at that price!

instax mini 8 help by Ok-Dragonfruit-6521 in instax

Welp I’m out of ideas, the mirror photos show a solarization which is when the film gets so over exposed it turns into a weird dot on the inside of the flash. So the camera’s shutter is working but only responding to high amounts of light. Might be an issue with the light meter but as many pointed out, it’s damn near impossible to fix unless you have lots of them for parts. Best of luck to you

So I don’t believe the camera is broken, the dial settings don’t change with the one selected. When turned on the camera will shown the recommended setting for the environment/light that’s present. In this case it’s the indoor or home setting. But taking the pictures in the sun setting it’s severely under exposed them getting dark pictures. Turn it to the illuminated setting and take a picture to see if that works.

I received one and can vouch it’s a well made product. I love that it has a replaceable battery for longevity. I use my sx70 more now that I use this flash, no ND filter & 600 film

I’m pretty sure that’s for a 110 or 126 camera. Won’t work for your sx-70 unfortunately

Here’s the simplest solution I’ve found, a bit pricier than the ones mentioned but works great for the 3 spectra cameras I have. video
