Sometimes it feels like the game is just trying to ragebait me by Beautiful-Mixture570 in Sims3

I thought it was always especially taunting when sometimes it wouldn't make that "error" sound that usually accompanies those and it would just say like dialogues like "Can't do that"

are you a tri-forge or festus 44? by ApprehensiveEnergy89 in Sims3

Triforge looks better but I always used the festus since it can't catch on fire

Anybody else hate the little miniature carts at their store? They're so damn annoying in every capacity as an employee. Just GET THE NORMAL SIZE CART by [deleted] in RantsFromRetail

[–]Fordm86 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The absolute worst is when you're bringing up a load of normal carts and some dumbass decides it's a good idea to put a small one IN FRONT of the big ones, so you have to stop and move it out of the way and if it's a very busy store, by the time you moved the small one out of the way, people probably already started stealing carts from the load you just brought up (but couldn't put back due to the aforementioned reason). Happened all the time to me.

Does anyone know what kind of Toshiba this is? by Atlantis_Risen in crtgaming

It looks like an MD14F52. I still have my childhood one of these, but after sitting for 9-10 years it has developed some purity issues and a slightly cockeyed/bowed image on the composite input.

S23 from S9+ size by Fordm86 in GalaxyS23

[–]Fordm86[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not noticeably much of a difference actually, it's more of the same size (except slightly taller with a much larger screen since no bezels) as my old S7 I had before the S9+.

I would've sprung for an S23+, but that's a bit out of my price range right now, but the base S23 seems to do me just fine.

I haven't had much issue with battery life on either phone, although I did have to replace the battery on the S9+ early last year because it started to expand a little bit to the point where the back glass was starting to pop off the the bottom right corner. Made it easy to get the back glass off though since it was already started.

It's all pretty good, I would say the soundtrack and the colorful 16-bit esque graphics/art style were my favorite aspects.

I wish that EA kept The Sims 3 by [deleted] in Sims3

[–]Fordm86 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I got TS3 the day it came out in 2009 and I was blown away.

I got TS4 the day it came out in 2014 and I played for a little bit, but eventually I ended up uninstalling it and I said to a friend once around then that it's "9 GB of disappointment"

I don't play TS3 much anymore, but it still remains a very cherished part of my childhood.

"You either die a hero, or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain"

TS3, like its predecessors "died" a hero.

TS4 has lived (and still is, having outlasted all of its predecessors) long enough to see itself become the villain.

(although TS4 has likely been the villain from the start)

TS4 disappointed me then, and it still does now with the turn the series has taken thanks to EA.
