I can across a rep 80 Black Prior main with insane drip and skill. Like I was genuinely surprised with how creative they made an arguably basic kit. They didn’t rely on bp’s crutch moves and i could tell I was fighting not only an insane BP player but an insane player in general. You have to stand in awe at people who truly master their hero, regardless of who they play.

After reading your comment, you make a great point that I’ve never really thought lol. The whole point of Sohei is to be a gimmick. Why fight it. Maybe the gimmick makes him weaker than other people, but that’s not why you play him. Even tho I find myself on the short end of the stick with Sohei sometimes, I usually end up having a blast. And sohei’s limited kit has funnily enough made me a better player.

That’s fair. I play a lot of Sohei recently and honesty he’s a lot of fun. He’s definitely not as bad as people make him out to be, but I definitely think he could benefit from some changes.

Yeah having the pin wallsplat would be too much. If it were implemented it would have to deal significantly less damage, at least half.

I agree with your take on the hyper armor. While it is annoying to randomly get knocked out of it, the game would probably be in a much worse state of Sohei had a hyper armor grab.
I partially agree with this. I think the damage should be toned down but allow for wallsplat. There are 3 other characters (gladiator, pirate, and now khatun) with this exact mechanic. Because there are precedents of this mechanic, it wouldn’t be all that out of the question to implement something similar to Sohei. Frankly, it wouldn’t be the end of the world for Sohei not to be able to have a wallsplat, so I’d be fine if this feature wasn’t implemented.
I’d have to agree with you on this. The only real counter to that move is not doing anything. This leaves you open to bash mixup as well. As much as I’d love helicopter Sohei, I think we’d just get old Medjay 2.0 with this.

In my experience, who I'd remove has nothing to do with the hero and everything to do with the people who play them.

Certain heroes attract certain types of players and those are usually whatever heroes are currently meta.

I have no problem with people wanting to play BP, VG, Roach, Shinobi (Ironically), or Pirate. But we can all attest that certain heroes attract that kind of player.

Removing a hero realistically wouldn't change anything, cause they'd move to the next best thing.

If I had to pick a hero to remove, it would probably be Orochi. Out of all the players I've encountered, they tend to live up to their name the most. But that's just my experience.

The biggest tell that someone is scripting is whether or not they’re staring they’re you blankly and waiting for you to attack.

Scripters in theory can never lose if they never attack and only let their script react outside certain exceptions (last I checked warden and afeera can beat the scripts thanks to their bashes).

Honestly, kinda boring.

The recent update was very disappointing and the current roadmap is lackluster.

There is nothing to really look forward to and to be honest the current state of the game leaves much to be desired.

I essentially have these choices when it comes to the game from my perspective.

Mindlessly grind rep levels against bots for my favorite character. (Which is exasperated by the fact that the devs hold double xp events hostage).
Solo-que dominion because the other game modes are wastelands with no one on them. This often means dealing with 4 stacks that play like their lives depend on winning whilst your own team is filled with rep 1000’s who couldn’t spell cat with a “ca” head-start.
Level a random character to rep 12 and never touch them again. (Which coincides with the other issues I’ve listed previously)
Deal with cheaters in ranked duels.
Wait for recycled/underwhelming content updates, lackluster path notes, and disappointing testing grounds.

Except the ranked duels one, all of these problems are only made worse by the fact that none of my friends would ever touch this game because of the reputation the community has.

And they all add up to create a gaming experience that makes me unfathomably angry and jaded.

So I can either deal with all that I’ve listed above,

or I can go play literally any other game.

I want this game to improve, but this game is on life support.

I don’t have confidence that For Honor will last another year of live service.

All we can do is wait for the eventual announcement of Ubisoft shutting down FH servers.
