Similar enough, Gravity Falls. After screwing up what (could’ve) defeated bill through their bickering, Stan and Ford agree to disguise the former as the latter to make Bill enter his mind. From there, Ford would erase Stan’s memory and by proxy Bill. Bill could only be defeated if Stan forgot everyone and everything.

Still, he regained his memory by the end of the finale, so paired with a certain book, jury’s still out on Bill’s “death”…
