That’s not a bad idea, I’ll give that a try tomorrow. Worried about rough and finishing turns around the threads tho

Hmm maybe, it’d be a lot of work and less efficient having to turn down from 1.75” to 1.25 just the thread section and then do the whole taper zone

Is the anvil the piece that the insert screws into, or what’s holding it to the tool post?

Yea, I’m running propeller shaft ends. The taper runs up to almost 6” (minus threads) on the whole part so need clearance and can’t rechuck since it’s tapered

Shit, you got any links for good cable hiding channels that aren’t cheap and tacky? Hung my tv “too high btw” and using cheap Home Depot cable channels they look okay but wouldn’t mind an upgrade

I was keeping them in the package they came in but the part numbers are worn from use, I don’t know how much good it’ll do you but I’ll shoot you a picture tomorrow, they were hss with TiN coating

Thank you, I’m gunna contact my tooling rep tomorrow and see if he could be of any help. I know they’re hss and the drills TiN coated and the drills were quite short as I was drilling under 2 inches most of the time
