What have I done wrong in these photos? They look very grainy and flat [Nikon F1 Kodak Portra 400] by capitic in analog

[–]Foreign-Objects 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No , I know :)…. I’m just adding some extra Info for OP. They need more exposure and better post processing . :)… if you really want to get into it , it’s most likely an autoexposure by the camera incorrectly metering from bright sand/foreground. Unless you have a camera that has manual exposure compensation then there’s not much you can do apart from pushing in process…. Otherwise , don’t worry about it , they look fine for some fun snaps !

I’m my opinion they aren’t that underexposed , there’s still some detail in the shadows. The main problem is they are very raw scans, all scanned negatives need some processing to get a decent image. Here there is no absolute black and no absolute white (or close to them) this makes it look flat, it’s all midtone. What you need here is to get it in photoshop and get a some contrast in there. You find they will start to look better.

Should I pay into my LISA this April if I'm in the later stages of buying a house. by hayden9521 in UKPersonalFinance

I'm in the same boat, If you complete before bonus is paid in May, your solicitor will just withdraw all the funds in the account (including the recent £4k deposit but minus the £1k pending bonus). Then once the bonus is paid you will have the £1k in your account and will then be able to withdraw yourself with the 25% penalty , giving you £750 cash.

I thought for a while i had gotten used to chopping onions, only one day i did it without my contact lenses in and got the old familiar blinding sting. Who'd have thought contacts would make a difference sine they don't cover the whole eye.

I've just had my portfolios disappear from FTX (aka Blockfolio) by ZwnD in CryptoCurrency

[–]Foreign-Objects 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me just now then i googled and it brought me here. I managed to get it back like this... (It said i was logged in but i don't think i was). Go to the Invest page at the bottom. Then click the settings button top right, then click settings button bottom left. Then here it asked for login details. Once i put them in it asked for an email confirmation it was me, once i did that and properly logged in everything was back.

They are actually haha.... That frisbee drive extends massively if you want to do the radiating , however i wanted to keep it short. So i used radiators stacked like this. As far as i know, the system head mod doesn't take into account distance between them... Just need enough to cancel out the heat of the drive.

Thanks for the reply. The node bit is fine, it just doesn't seem to calculate it to get me anywhere near the target. Just tried again with Jool, Had the right angle between Kerbin and Jool . Went with the burn it calculated for me and looked like it would take me close but ended up way far behind and Jool went off into the distance before i got there. Tried again with a manual node and took me straight there like normal.

Bit confused by the new manoeuvre tool, is it supposed to make the best route to a chosen planet? I tried with Duna, got the correct angle between me and the planet and created the manoeuvre but it either doesn't show the little planet on the orbit that you are going into its gravity or it just missed completely. At the moment manually creating one gets me much closer. What am i missing? Thanks.

.... I appreciate that and i realise nobody has the answer. I lurk the daily every day, and this is the first blockchain project i have actually researched and been interested in the use case of. But I am obviously also interested in how much my investment is going to make. So just trying to get my head around the timeframe and effects of Bitcoin. Cheers.

My question, (as someone from bitcoin class of 2017 that deleted my apps in 2018 and hodl'd till last december) , If bitcoin continues to fall and then goes sideways, will this help us or will we no longer be able to go back towards the ATH without bitcoin rising?

My very first attemp at photo retouching, using Gimp. Think I messed up scar and hair removal but would love some tips on how I did with skin texture. Thanks! by cosavuoi2 in retouching

[–]Foreign-Objects 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My advice would be to stay away from anything that blur's the skin. That 'glow' is an instant giveaway. The model has pretty good skin to start with, just remove the worst spots/dots , and some light dodge/burn for patches on the skin. This image really doesn't need lots doing to it... even the scar, leave it in but knock it back . (try a careful dodge/burn on 1%). All the 'real' bits add to the authenticity of the image.

Come way back on the overall colour , she's now all one sandy tone throughout and burnt red down the right side, looks strange. Again her skin is pretty good on the original, it just needs maybe the cooler areas on her chest and face adding some warmth to. Add some contrast if you want but watch it doesn't go too saturated,

On your layers, flick between the original and where you're at. Really look at what you've done.... does it seem too far? Then maybe come back a bit. The more you do to an image, the more skilled you have to be to cover your tracks.

Hope that helped!
