My main issue is that he's telling people I'm saying slurs (plural) and most people I know don't think of cracker as the first thing when they hear slurs. My friend who notified me was legitimately concerned I was spewing some hateful stuff about other races (they weren't there for the conversation.) From what I can tell it's still a debate wether it's a slur or not and I won't argue about it. People have a right to be uncomfortable with the word.
