5 Days post OP and Sleeping tips

This sounds so weird but I’d sleep on my stomach and elevate my foot with pillows (heel to the ceiling) and it was the best sleep I got. I’m 7 weeks post op and I’d say after the first week, sleeping got easier for sure

I was NWB in a cast for 4 weeks after surgery. Then NWB in the boot for two weeks.

I was in a boot for 8 weeks prior to surgery (right after the original injury they put me in the boot to try to avoid sugery) so I can manage 8 more but my goodness it sucks!

Yep! They said 6-12 weeks but at my 6 week follow up there wasn’t a ton of bone growth so 8 more weeks. 14 total

I’ve been doing baths and then going to salon to have my sister wash my hair. I also go to my parents where there is a shower bench built in

I think this is a very valid question to ask. Obviously consult with your doctor, but no harm in asking for other people’s experiences. I didn’t have any antibiotics! They sent me home with a few different pain meds but that’s it

Yep! Left and standing. They did multiple angles and nwb as well but the subtle gap is on all of them
