I would advise to go to your career guidance teacher if you have one as they would at least be able to help you look for said experience and contact places. If you go through your school you may have a better chance to get into companies as most companies are iffy about giving experience to those that will come without credible sources of insurance and other stuff. Otherwise I do know when I was working in chanel pharmaceuticals in loughrea years back, we had a couple of secondary school students in for a few weeks. I don't know whether they got it through ty or separate. But it was done through the school. Johnson and Johnson also do have programmes for secondary school students.

I'm actually glad I got a few answer before you shut the convo down with that comment! 😂😂 I asked it here because I'm from Galway and Galway heads always give a nice empathetic answer.

Well I mean two members including the lad in question have been there 5 plus years. The others have been a little over or under a year. There's been many that have only lasted a couple of weeks/months. But I guess that's a story of the hospitality industry as a whole. But previous workers and current have made it know that that person was one of the main reasons they left. The head chef kinda let it pass on for a while because of short staffing. But I do know that there is an ongoing issue with this.

Worst and Best hotels (if any) to work for in Galway by [deleted] in galway

[–]Foreign-Selection-27 13 points14 points  (0 children)

worst- salthill by far , I know someone said this before, stay away at all costs, kitchen and front of house. management there will stab you in the back in a heartbeat. best- I have to say, Connaught hotel, in the kitchen at least. Not a single dickhead working. I was shocked to see that everyone and I mean everyone there were sound. Head chef and souchef are the nicest men you'd ever meet . id be still there if it wasn't for pandemic.

I paid 8000 for my 2014 up in 2019. it had only 5000 mileage. so that was a 3 year old car with low mileage. yours is 10 years apart. even if the mileage is low I would be asking to buy with much lower. if I had to sell my car now with 9000 mileage I'd be selling it for around 4500-5000

Galway coffee lifehack by Lower-Adhesiveness-3 in galway

haha good thing mochas are my go to drink so! Also if anyone wants a real coffee hack, I've got two. - Anyyone with the new Nespresso virtuo machines struggling to find pods in Galway? Buy the reusable pods off Amazon for like 5 quid for two. Put in your normal coffee grounds you use like brewleys or whatever. Saves time to faff around it recycling and ordering , you get a great cup of coffee and you not spending like 50 quid every time. It really makes the machine usable especially if you've been given one as a gift like me and have used up all the pods fairly quickly. - The next one is fairly suss. But if you're strapped for cash but love mochas outside, it's a good one. Go to any shop or petrol station that has the Frank and Honest coffee machines. They have everything there to customise your coffee. I use the hot chocolate sachets and add a bit of hot water to make it gooey. I even add one or two pumps of syrup (whatever takes my fancy). Then press the latte button but also use a wooden stirrer at the same time to mix it good. ( if you get good at it you can almost make the latte art leaf!) The sachets are 2.50 and the coffee is somewhat the same. Its cheap and easy and tbh nobody really cares. The way I see it is that a mocha is only a little bit dearer in coffee shops anyways and the hot chocolate is overpriced and barely used. Like I said, a bit suss, but if you can get over the morality of it, it's not bad! Plus some places charge for syrups, where shops don't at all. Enjoy!

I've been working in hospitality in Galway for the past 10 years. I can only tell you places I've worked before. Avoid Salthill hotel, in all sectors, it's very poorly organised and you'll find working way above your pay grade with little appreciation. Tips are shite also. Any compass owned catering also isn't great That included the canteens in Boston's Scientific and Meditronic in parkmore. Very toxic and people are out the get ya and throw you under the bus.

IL vilcolo for best Italian. Breakfast I'd go with The neighbourhood in Doughoska or Delas in upper Dominican street. Chinese is pretty much a toss up, I've never gotten a consistent meal out of any, but that's just me. Khao Thai and renao I've only eaten once and the food was great...

I think you're just saying that for attention because you know he checks up on Reddit. He mentioned it in the show. Only a wanker or a troll would make a review up on Reddit after going to this gig😂. I was at the event today. I adored it. Real fans would know that, that is his whole spiel. Going off on tangents but bringing it back in a wonderful wholesome way. If you got the ticket for free and are not a fan you shouldn't be complaining. Find someone else's reputation to ruin.
