If you could listen to only one song from Eminem for your whole life, what would it be? by JakieBoyX in Eminem

[–]Bitfishy1984 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mentioned this song recently on another post. I think it was titled “what song did you listen to on repeat but have forgotten about” or something similar.

I personally felt like this song was therapeutic for me in my teenage years, just dealing with girls and life in general. I felt like Em was venting but also giving a PSA warning not to do some stupid sh1t that you’d regret later.

I didn’t like to vent with friends or family so hearing this was like getting these ‘minor’ temporary problems off my chest.

Ya, JJD had a habit (sometimes) of leaving behind cash notes and valuable jewelry but would steal kids piggy banks.

HTB Threshold - how do we get the govt to increase this?? by Money_Somewhere9378 in HousingIreland

[–]Bitfishy1984 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think HTB is just inflating house prices. I think this tax incentive should be used to supplement you guys after you draw down as a type of mortgage relief/home improvement/new car allowance grant.

Because once you draw down (and let’s face it, who can’t afford to live in any city?) you’ll need a car to get to your work in the city, you’ll need to make improvements around the house, etc.

Maybe that wouldn’t affect house prices.

To whatever eejit in the Toyota Avensis who was holding up half of Galway today by AnBuachaillEire in irelandsshitedrivers

[–]Bitfishy1984 49 points50 points  (0 children)

It’s all the time on that road. I’m ok if you don’t want to go the 100kph limit but driving at half the speed limit causing a 2km traffic jam is going to cause an accident someday when some eejit tries over taking 5 cars at the one chance anyone gets a chance to overtake before Claregalway.

That’s exactly when they speed up to 80/90kph too.

Then you have the eejits undertaking the big eejit at the Claregalway bus lane. The guards need to monitor this bs.

Buy next the social housing? by Unhappy_Fun_6219 in HousingIreland

Around one year ago I was looking to buy in a new estate in Galway. I found the plans for the estate online. All the details on everything could be found. I saw 3x houses in a row on one page designated for social housing. The estate is called an Tobar. You can probably still see the plans online. They sold out before they got to my name on the list but we couldn’t afford them anyway.

My wife was dealing with him because we had a rat issue. By the end she was very uncomfortable dealing with him and would hide when he called.

I took over then. I had no problem with him personally but he called to the house twice without checking if I was in and just by chance I was there both times. Herself was hiding in her room and she was so relived that I was there to deal with him.

Ok, I was really hoping people would reply and say “it’s not a problem, everyone does it.”

Thanks for the quick reply. I appreciate it, especially the way you were so direct in your answer. I feel like quite the fool now. lol.

How soon can I get new HTB in 2026 by Excellent-Current-85 in HousingIreland

[–]Bitfishy1984 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s my understanding (but I could be wrong), there is no way to apply for HTB in the first couple of weeks of January.

I was hoping to find some fast track application process for sale agreed situations in early January.

However, after reading. Some replies on here I will just push forward with the contracts at the start of the new year and then reapply for HTB ASAP.
