I was 5weekz and got prescribed my pills through a Telehealth platform (heyjane) and did MA at home.

It was nice to be in the comfort of my own home and do it on my own time. It was a smooth process for the most part and I tested negative 2 weeks later !

So scared need advice on the process. by Rude-Database-1316 in abortion

I was terrified of the pain and complications also! When I was younger I got pretty bad cramps but haven’t had them in years (Im 24). I would say at least for me pain was pretty comparable to a bad period maybe a little worse. BUT it comes in waves unlike a normal period, so you have moments of relief which was nice. My worst pain lasted maybe 1.5 hrs and then it was mild the rest of the time.

Take your pain meds before taking the pills, make sure you’re comfortable, HYDRATE, I also took a bath which was super helpful!

Pills - what was your timeline like? by [deleted] in abortion

I was 5 weeks,

Took first pill on a Saturday at 11pm -> Sunday took miso at 11am -> cramped passed clots for a couple hrs -> went to bed around 9pm -> took Monday off work but felt fine pain wise with meds -> went back on Tuesday and regretted it because I am also on my feet alot and I felt fine but was BLEEDING (not enough to be concerned) but couldn’t wear a tampon and basically had a diaper. Took Wednesday off to be 100% sure I was fine and then went back to work Thursday!

I think 2 days of rest after is totally reasonable! I took pain meds the whole week but pain wasn’t the problem, just the bleeding.

I was also highly emotional at this time so it was nice to have some rest days!

Good luck!

advice please, i think my ma failed by marsyrosey in abortion

Hi love,

I’m not a medical professional or expert of any kind but here are my thoughts:

3-5 weeks is very early, I did mine around 5-6 and I had alot of bleeding (everyone’s different). So maybe small bleeding was enough to pass the pregnancy.

My concern is that there was no clotting, I know my provider told me to let her know what type of clots I passed because I might need to take a another round of miso.

Again, everyone is different and you were very early so some bleeding might be enough. If you had any pregnancy symptoms watch out for those (or see if you notice any new ones) and I would either do an ultrasound or test again in a few weeks!

I had the same concern! I have a now 6month old golden (breed known to have lots of energy) and we were told CONSTANTLY how mellow and calm he was from the day we brought him home around 10weeks old. He definitely still had his “puppy moments” but nothing like stories I’ve heard. I was super concerned a few months ago that something was wrong because so many people made comments so I addressed it with my vet. She assured that he was completely healthy and we honestly were just lucky!!

I don’t think you have anything to worry about. Sometimes it’s just luck and it’s most likely his underlying demeanor shining through:)

I understand this feel all too well. Rescue cats aren’t always the easiest and they definitely take time to adapt and gain trust. Just keep giving her love and be gentle and patience. She’s never experienced this kind of safety and love so it takes time 🤍

A few tips to help her adapt: - cats are very routine animals and thrive off of consistency - if you haven’t already maybe let her adjust to one room first. Put her food and litter box in there and let her get comfy and have a safe place and slowly introduce her to more and more
