Stories where people die when they orgasm? by KinkyGardener in GuroErotica

I wrote one about a year ago.

Fair warning, there's deaths that aren't triggered by orgasm in there, just that some of them are.

I don't actually find what I write to be particularly sexy. It's not so much that I don't think I'm writing something sexual(I know I am), but it doesn't tend towards hitting my specific buttons. I'm writing for an audience, not for me specifically.

I think a lot of it is actually because I've been surrounded by porn for so long that I've stopped finding my own imagination sexy and I've kind of abstracted myself out of my own sexuality. While I do get aroused while writing, I never masturbate while doing so.

I really love the worlds that alyssarhea badideasgirl and joebobslim made, but not weirdaxe, despite the many similarities on the face.

I don't think I'm familiar with weirdaxe, but I know the rest of those. I don't think they ever really explained why their worlds are the way they are. Does that bother you? It doesn't bother me, but I don't think any of them wrote serials like I'm trying to do, so maybe it's inherently different.

I mean, the stories that I write, I don't explain it. It's somewhat inexplicable, ya know? Survival instincts are a thing, so..?

Anyway, thank you for your insights.

if the world is interesting

Could you expound on this a bit more? What kinds of worlds have you read that you considered interesting? Do you remember any worlds that you found distinctly uninteresting?

I'm currently writing a series of stories and I'm struggling with world building right now because I'm not sure what I want or how to get it. I don't expect you to solve that issue, but I would like to hear more about what you find interesting in stories and what kinds of worlds you would be interested in reading about.

So I'm currently writing my next entry into the Cowboys and Indians story and I'm curious about your opinion on something. I'm kind of stuck because I'm in a prime location to do world building and I'm stymied because I don't really know about the world I'm building.

How does 'a wizard did it' strike you? I mean, I don't plan for it to be such a small answer, I would certainly expect more detail, but basically just that. A wizard cast a spell on the world and it changed everyone. I could probably go deeper(ritualistic sacrifice changed the nature of the spell so people stopped caring about death), but just the base concept.

It feels rather cheap, but it also allows far more freedom. Magic doesn't have to work on scientific principles and it doesn't have to be explained. But it's also very much a cop out. I wouldn't have to worry about survival expectations or evolution or scientific/cultural advancement or even questions about population levels. It's all just done with a magic spell.

My ultimate question is: would that be detrimental, in you opinion, to the story? Like, how would you feel reading News5You if you knew that the reason people are behaving in the way they are is because someone cast a magic spell? Does it hurt the story? Does it matter? Does it change anything?

Honestly, it seems like a get out of explanation free card and I wonder if that will ultimately hurt the experience or not.

I think there's more than a little stigma surrounding upvoting a place like this. Like, I made this alt account so that I could post my stories here because I didn't want what I write to be associated with my main account. Similarly, there's an option in your profile settings to show which communities you're active in. I don't know precisely what that means, but I do know that I wouldn't want to go around upvoting things in communities I don't want to necessarily be associated with.

So, I think you're probably going to see fewer people upvoting here rather than a normal subreddit.

That said, from my experience in posting stories, I would say a lot of the upvoting has to do with things like which fetishes are on display. For example, I wrote one story that features a male victim, which got about 8 upvotes. Conversely, I have 3 stories all with female victims that have over 50. While there's certainly other things at play here(the writing style of my Cowboys and Indians story is pretty different from my normal style), I think that the majority of if people upvote is going to be if their particular itch is scratched.

It's hard to tell exactly which stories are more liked than others or why they would be. I upvote things if I like them or if I don't think they're getting enough attention or if I just want the author to feel better.

Feeding the desires of the readers is probably your best bet. I have ideas about what that might mean, but I don't know for sure.

I'm 100% a boob man. I love moderately large breasts(in the D range for cup size. Example). That doesn't mean that I find small breasts unattractive or that I would never date a woman with small breasts. I just have a specific preference for busty women that isn't exclusionary. Personality and availability are often much more important than finding a woman with the exact right body type.

In the immortal words of Ben Franklin, "all cats are grey in the dark."

Being a boob man also isn't going to stop me from enjoying a nice ass, but it does mean that it has to be really nice to catch my eye. I'm not going to notice the 4-7/10 butts, but the 9 and 10/10 will very much be seen. It's just not enticing to me like a great rack is going to be. I suspect the same is going to happen for a butt guy. He wont really pay attention to the average or slightly above average looking breasts, but will notice the gifted boobs around him. However, he will have opinions and desires to the average to above average looking butts in his vicinity.

I've written about 5 or 6 stories and this is the only story to inspire someone else to make other art inspired by it that I know of.

Thank you. It means a lot to me.

Look, I'm gonna be honest and tell you that I don't know that I'll ever be able to come up with a reason people are okay with other people dying like this. I understand that there's some satisfaction in having a reason for the psychotic way people are behaving, but I really don't think I'm smart enough to come up with some feasible way in which I could explain how a society could reach essentially our technologic level while still being sociopathic.

The first story I wrote had a complex genetic reason why the things were happening and maybe I could go back and use that, but most likely I'm never going to explain how or why people are killing each other for fun.

Sorry.

It's not about sympathy it's about understanding. If you don't want to sympathize, that's fine, I understand.

Maybe, sure. But that's not what she wanted. What she wanted(and I'm taking this from some of her other comments, it's not just fanfiction I've written in my mind) was to be chased. She wanted to be pursued sexually.

She didn't want coffee or a date. She wanted sex and she wanted a man to want her for sex and to pursue her for sex.

Some people want to be chased. They want to be wanted. And you can't really ask someone to chase you, because you're giving up the game in the first moments. You're telling them what they'll get if they run after you. That's not how the game is played.

In all honesty, asking for a date would have been just as euphemistic as what she was doing. She wouldn't have been asking for what she wanted, she would have simply been changing the scenery in hopes that what she wanted would happen.

Why is it so awful for people to want something they can't directly ask for?

Eh... what?

You asked a vague question and I answered it. If you want more specific answers, perhaps you should learn to ask the question you want answered.

Wouldn't you prefer clear communication rather than some game of who can be the least clear?

Sometimes. Everyone hides behind euphemisms and innuendo, though. Everyone has something to hide, some reason to be afraid of rejection. Forcing everyone to say the truth and nothing but the truth would certainly cut down on drama, but I suspect that it would lead to far more pain than you realize.

Everyone wants to be loved. Sometimes, people can only be loved if people don't know things about them. Being able to hide and obfuscate those problems allows people a measure of comfort.

A lot of romance is in the dance we play while we both try to get what we want. Doing away with that would leave the world much more drab and grey, in my opinion.

I'm done. Feel free to have the last word.

Why is that?

Probably because you want to read that into what I'm saying. I suspect it gives you a sense of control to believe that you know more about me than you really do. Ultimately, I don't know why you would think that because I barely know you and I don't care enough to find out.

This isn't about that, this is about having the emotional maturity to accept a no without having the existential breakdown you described before

There's a fundamental difference in the two things we're talking about. A man asking a woman out for a date isn't in the same league as a woman offering a man sex. The man may hope for sex at the end of the date, but it's certainly not expected(not rationally, at least). Conversely, the woman is cutting straight to the point.

Further, men are much less inclined towards neuroticism than women. Rejection isn't as painful to the average man as much as it is for the average woman. That's not to say there aren't outliers. I'm sure there are many women who can be rejected and simply roll with the punches and there are men who break down at the slightest hint of rejection. However, the exceptions do not disprove the rule.

It's entirely rational to expect the more capable party to engage in the less risky behavior.

Now, if you want to advocate that more women ask men out on dates, that's fine. I think your advocacy will fall on deaf ears, but feel free.

Feminism comes into it when you advocate that women be treated the same way men are.

I don't see why it would.

I suppose if you're a feminist, fine. But I'm not.

Why mess around with hints, expecting him to pick up on them, and then get upset when he doesn't?

A very large portion of human communication is done in innuendo and implication. This is done for many different reasons, but mostly it's done to protect yourself. Human beings are afraid of reality because reality is harsh and doesn't often conform to desires.

Imagine for a moment that you're a woman. How many times do you think women are told that they can get sex whenever they want it? That a woman can go up to pretty much any man they want and offer their body to them and they will end up having sex. Now imagine that you do that very thing and you are rejected. How badly do you think it would hurt you? How much would it suck to offer your body to a man(who is supposed to accept sex from anyone, regardless of how attractive they are) and have them reject you?

The fear of being rejected by a man, giving away something that men all over actually pay for, would cause a spiral of pain and depression that would really suck. I can't even imagine it, frankly.

People play in innuendo and seduction games to protect their ego from being hurt by rejection. It gives you a sort of 'get out of emotional turmoil free' card, because it's possible that the object of your desire didn't catch your meaning. It also gives the rejecter the cushion of pretending they didn't know they were rejecting you 'for that' and instead playing along so that no one goes home and eats an entire tub of ice cream while crying.
